Im trying to help my friend choose a good gaming laptop for under 1500, but after looking at many different models, im just not sure what to choose for him.The laptops ive looked at so far are:

Gateway P-7805u

MSI GT725-074US

Asus N70SV-X1

Hp Pavilion Dv7-2040us

To be honest, im not even sure whats best out of these. Could someone give their opinion on which of these best, or recommend a better one? Also I have told him to just get a desktop if he wants to game, but he needs it for school too so it has to be a laptop. any help would be appreciated.

yeah ive read that those with the A2 or A3 Hardware revisions are having no problems and the router is amazing... sadly the stories not the same for the A4 or A1; there is also no way for me to buy the A2 as they no longer manufacture that version of the router.. ive been looking at linksys and netgear's routers and was hoping i could get an opinion on them

After replacing my older Microsoft router for the new D-Link DIR-665, ive had nothing but problems. The router constantly disconnects, drop connections, gives out bad ip addresses, and more... After a little research i discovered that i owned the A4 Hardware version of the router, and after looking at reviews i realized the A4 is unreliable and is just utter crap..

so this time i thought i would do some research as to what a good router for gaming would be, so my question is; does anybody know a solid router that is reliable and it is good for gaming? if possible i am searching for a router that could operate in legacy mode to support b connections. just thought i would get some opinions on what exactly is a good router that i could still buy today

i dont understand whats wrong with my internet, i have one of those d-link n gigabite routers and it used to be fast but now its so slow... strangely enough though, the computer connected to it with an ethernet cable is still really fast but every wireless thing, both consoles and pcs, are now slow... on the wireless pc i use, i used to get 24mbits but now for the last few days i only get 1-2mbits. The same applies for every other pc in the house and all game consoles... im also disconnecting from the router many times every day, which stops me from playing lan with the other computers... anybody have any idea what could be the problem?

I just bought a brand new router, the D-Link Xtreme N Gigabyt Router, but now my xbox live connection seems to be laggy. My old microsoft router was doing bad and kept disconnecting my computers so i bought this new one. My computers speeds are now 3 times faster, but the xbox seems to be suffering from more lag now... what could be the problem? when testing connection there are no errors, but i seem to always get 1 bar... help?
