It depends, but mostly no. If the characters a loveable and the story is presented well I might be able to enjoy a generic plot. I really enjoyed Lunar SSS and that game was unapologetically generic, but it had a great set of characters with plenty of stark and was presented well. however I feel like when It comes to the majority of JRPGs now It's the same game I was playing 10 years ago with better graphics and bad Voice acting. I'm really just tired of playing through the same game with a new skin.

I don't rent games. I'm not putting $10 down on a game that I'm giving back to the store in a few days. no thanks. If i'm not anticipating a game enough to buy the game full price or look for a good deal durring the first few weeks of release to get it, then I can wait until it drops in price. I'd rather put that $10 towards a game I'm going to keep.

If I'm still iffy on the game I buy it used from Gamestop and if I don't like it I return it.

most people I know consider MGS3 best of series, it's the only one i haven't played. so I consider MGS1 best of series.

for FPS I mostly just play KZ2, hopefully I'll be playing MAG at some point.

I've never actually played a splinter cel game but I would love to. if it's coming to PC i'll think about getting it.
