@WheelerJared Hell, KH's combat was excellent, and I hear the same team that created that combat system are working on XV, so I don't think there should be much to worry about.
at least they finally admitted that they fucked up. i already swore that i wasn't going to buy the next installment, but i guess i will have to reconsider now. for starters though, they can begin the next project by not completely alienating and shunning the hardcore competitive faction of the community...
EA and Bioware's reputation is so damaged now I could care less what there plans are for the future. Why put myself through the heartache and disappointment again?
I gotta say, being a Halo skeptic post-Reach, I'm still nervous about buying this game but the gameplay so far looks solid. I'm just waiting for something gamebreaking that will make me want to avoid purchasing this.
@Azujin The twitchy BR gameplay and high skill bar is what attracted so many pros to Halo in the first place. The Reach DMR and bloom was designed to help noobs have more chances to be on the same level as pros - and guess what the pros ended up hating Reach because of that. Other weapons are still useful, but most of them are situational and its always been like that.
I agree, the forerunner vision is lame but hopefully that will be locked out in competitive matches.
Now it seems Halo is going back to its roots and I gotta say I'm looking forward to seeing 343 develop this game some more.
