It’s funny, I have a different perspective on the PS3 price point than these guys.

My family bought the first Blu-ray player when it came out (I think a Samsung) for $1,000 bucks. When the PS3 launched shortly after that, I thought it was a major bargain to not only have a cutting edge gaming system, but also the next generation video player. Not to mention how tough they were to come by and how expensive they were going on the secondary market (eBay)

That said, I can understand how the price could seem excessive for someone who was only interested in games.

Just thinking out loud here, but imagine if they could eat the cost enough for the first 6 months and charge only $300. Sure they’re losing money, but that big a difference would absolutely demolish the competition!

Reminds me when the PS3 came out with a built in blu-ray player, that seemed like such a bargain that plenty of people made the switch from MS to Sony (myself included)

@Smokin105: Ah it’s so refreshing to hear some outrage about Trump for a change. Canceling Netflix in response to an original comedy trope is such a measured response too. Man we really are “suffering from peace” as a society these days when this is what people get outraged over.

Whoa whoa whoa music by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross?? That’s all I need to know.

Always been a Reznor fan (Nine Inch Nails) and became a Ross fan when I heard his score for Book of Eli.

This is the most I’ve heard Origins’ existence acknowledged since its release date. It’s always treated as the red-headed stepchild with bundles saying the “Arkham Trilogy” or “all three Arkham games.”

I have consistently seen negative reviews from people playing 76 on PC as if there were no redeeming qualities, whereas console players seem more open minded. Why is that? I for one, on the PS4, have had an absolute blast with this game. I went into it as if I were trying an experimental idea: Fallout Online. What would it be like? I really think the preconceived expectations are preventing people from just having some fun with the idea. Thanks Bethesda for being experimental, I love it!
