"Can be frustrating spending hours waiting for randomness to cooperate"

Hours, yeah, im feeling that. The game is based around gambling and that alone is a dealbreaker.

After playing for quite a while and talking with other people it seems like there is a constant opinion that the RNG is the core of the game and a big source of frustration as the game just keeps throwing mechanics to hurt the player and create more gambling opportunities.

The reviews mention that aspect but only as a small negative that can be easily ignored, I simply cant believe that to be true when the common opinion from players seem to highlight how poorly designed that aspect is, myself thinking the same.

I like roguelikes but the core gameplay is usually good with the rng being used for variation and player adaptability, here its the core gameplay for the most part, be it for finding the puzzle, for finding the solution to the puzzles, and in case you dont have the solution you have to depend on rng to find the puzzle again next time, and yet again to find the solution. Its mental to consider this aspect of the game such a small negative.

Its so simple, Peter Parker would never quit, with all that power comes great responsability, simple as that, he will not retire, he is a tool of doing the right thing, that is above him.

I dont know how long the Taylor Swift movie is but to be fair there is a reason theaters arent big fans of long ass movies, you show them a lot less times. But yeah, hard to match the fanbase Taylor Swift has these days.

@illegal_peanut: People are just having a very cynical reaction, something that does kinda make sense in the sad reality of things, also calling it "revolution" does seem like a weird choice of words considering the push Microsoft did with their own controller a long time ago.

WIth that said, certainly good news and lets hope others follow these steps, like Nintendo or even other peripheral companies.

Also, it would certainly not be an easy task to make gaming as accessible as music, film or books. Damn, even for people without disabilities it can be hard to get into how complex the inputs can be. You need to take into account all the accessibility you apply to movies, music and books and on top of that work on the input system and how it interacts with the design of the games, where games themselves have adapt their mechanics as well (hold button instead of tap, for example). Its some hard stuff but it's becoming more standard, big budgeted games certainly should have it as a requirement.

Im appalled by why have James Corden, certainly there would be another celebrety with host capabilities more suited for a game related... whatever this is.

Anyways, for everyone skeptical about what AI can do to gaming (outside of being part of the workflow of game development) there are already some examples that while not being ready to be used properly yet they can give an idea of how they could be used in the future.

AI Lara Croft plays the first Tomb Raider, at the end of the video its the AI playing the game as if it was actually the main character.

@noodles227:

"These CEOs are top of their field. They can go to any number of companies whenever they please. No one will stay if they can just go work at any other tech company and rake in the cash."

I think the point should be that as a CEO that is doing a good job you will make your company thrive, with that you can get the big pay at the end of the month, you wouldnt jump to another company if your company can have such a promising future, a company like Epic clearly has that promising future. If the company is failing its mostly because of previous decisions of the guys a the top, not saying that all are easy to do, of course its a hard job with a lot of risk but fucking hell, the amount of money these guys do no matter what, either winning or failing is quite a shitshow when failing means getting a ton of people out of their job even if just following orders.

Satoru Iwata cut 50% of his salary for 5 months when the Wii U failed, then after that Nintendo got a major success with the Switch, no need to send people home if you believe the company can still pull it off after a failure.
