If somebody have only one platform this differences arent big. Differences between ps2 and pc (or even xbox sometimes) was huge !! btw- of course there is a comand line for gta4 that can enable max texture settings for this game. Gta 4 is simply cpu demanding game and you dont lose many of performans (on 8800ultra, I lose nothing) if you'rs graphic card is fast. Game looks mutch better that way and rivatuner schows that usage of vram is about 700 megs. Even if you have 512 MB ram on graphic card, this 200mb gap will be successful lended from local ram if you have more than 2 GB. My friend play that way and he have 512 MB 4850, quad core, 4 GB, he have no Stuttering at all and this same fps

bmacGamePro - I have pretty similar spec, Asus EN8800, 2 GB, only my quad 3 Ghz is different result's are : playable 1680x1050, very high in xp , 25, 30 fps. Playing in vista is one big mistake because i got only 15/18 fps on this same settings

Playing Crysis on vista is one big hooooopy. XP sp2 still rock and my card was able to play crysis even on 1680x1050, hacked very high detali and still have playable fps 25/30 fps (c2quad 3ghz,8800Ultra). What's the point using Dx10 if any card on the marked could'nt handle it !!

I play crysis in very high setings, 1024x768 with average +30fps (vista64), on xp i could veven play in 1680x1050 using the very high cfg. hack and still have playable fps (25/30) quad 2.4@3 , EN8800Ultra (169.09), 2GB. For a game that's develop for next year graphic cards is prety good result

No diference xp/vista very gigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Water may look litle blury on xp but this is blame of drivers (169.04). Nvidia forced crysis in this version to play game litle faster (7 fps) but with quality cost. See by yourself's, just rename crysis.exe to something else like crysis1.exe. Now water looks the same on both systems ;)
