By best single player campaign, I'd take that as a combination of best story and gameplay. My top 5 in no particular order since I can't decide between any of them are:

Deus Ex

System Shock 2

Planescape: Torment

Baldur's Gate 2

and Metroid Prime (not as strong story wise as the above 4, but the gameplay is sublime)

Living in Australia I had no choice but to buy mine on Ebay, but think its totally worth it for Zelda fans.

I mean, if I had to complain about one thing it would be the limited number of tracks on the soundtrack, otherwise there is no way you'll lose money on buying it. In a few years time it'll be worth alot more than $50. Not that I'll ever sell mine - the sword and shield are brilliantly detailed!

There's no finesse to the way the Wii Remote is used, and at times you'll wish that you could just hit a button to swing the sword instead of dealing with all the motion-sensing nonsense.Jeff Gerstmann

Straight from Jeff's Wii review, and now that he's played TP on the GC with a normal controller he says the Wii version is better...huh? Jeff is one very confused dude.

I absolutely adore TP on both systems, and will continue to do so no matter what any review says. But Jeff cetainly hasn't done any favours for Gamespots reputation with his contradictory views on this game.

I think it's pathetic that people can't hold on to the thing. Even in a game like Twilight Princess where you swing the Wiimote, you don't have to lunge at the TV.OhhSnap50893

Agreed, a flick of the wrist is all thats generally required. Nintendo probably isn't unhappy about the wrist strap thing though, since it shows that people are really getting into their Wii!

Funny enough I always thought I'd prefer the GC version because I figured you couldn't make Zelda's classic control scheme any better and that the Wii control was a bit of a gimmick.

Well call me officially converted...imo you don't feel as "in" to the game without the wiimote. This is especially apparent when aiming and fishing. Still if you don't have the means to get a Wii, I think the GC version is its equal in every other way.

Hi guy's and gal's,

I posted a quick hello on the main board, before I found this thread...figures. Anyway, I'm an Aussie Zelda fan from way back to the glory days of the NES. I have played and finished every Zelda game except for the two I'm playing now - TP on the Wii and Minish Cap on my recently purchased DS.

My all time favourite Zelda game is currently A Link to the Past with OOT a close second, although I think TP has a great chance at topping this list depending how it ends :)

Anyway, I look forward to talking with you all about Zelda in the future!

Picked up my copy of Twilight Princess for the Cube from EB Games yesterday. I've got the Wii version, but I'm a collector, and Zelda freak which means I just had to have it

Besides the missing widescreen support, graphics are pretty much on par with the Wii version. The whole mirrored thing is really disorienting at first, as is (surprisingly) playing with a regular control pad after spending alot of time with the wiimote. Still I couldn't think of a better swansong for the Cube! Can't wait to see what score Gamespot gives this version...I'm guessing a 9.0 (which IMO is still too low, but I think they may look a little stupid in regards to the Wii score if they give it higher than this)

I thought with its limited EB exclusive release here in Australia this version of the game might become a bit of a collector's item, however I was surprised to learn from the manager at the regional EB store I purchased it from had nearly 50 copies pre-ordered for it, and he received all of these as well as extra copies to sell to walk in's. If this is the case, then there may be more available than originally thought. But its been said that Australia is only getting one shipment of the game ever! Also, it looks like its hard to get on many of the big U.S. sites such as EB/Gamestop and Amazon. They aren't even listing it for purchase at the moment.

Oh, one last thing.... hello everyone! Just joined this union and I look forward to talking Zelda with everyone here! :D
