Though I don't think anyone here could say with any certainty, I'd bet that it means no difference. The only reason people care about a new chipset for the other console is because a smaller chip might help reduce heat and (ideally) would be free of most issues that a rushed-out-the-door chip might have.

here here! Stop lining Gamestop's coffers; not a cent of the sale of a used game goes to the people who made them.
Sigma definatly is, graphics-wise, in-between old gen and nex-gen. It doesn't, by any stretch of the imagination, look bad.
It's also an amazing game, but also quite hard. If you are up for a challenge, Sigma may be better for you.
The 20gb and 60gb are, yes (they have an emotion engine chip).
The 80 gb is, mostly (it doesn't have the chip and just uses the software to emulate).
Games are generally close to twice the frame rate of movies (movies range from arounf the mid 20s to the early 30s... which is the fastest a human being can process a frame change properly... slower than that and you see image "lag"; games are usually 60fps....)
I always found this interesting, especially when it comes to things like emulation... FFX can be emulated on a dual-processor but at 30fps... which one would think was good, but given that we're talking about 50% the speed of the game as it would normally be...
And just check out the TV at a store or something; it's what I did. I find that it's impossible to notice anything below 10ms without staring, inches from the screen.
I'm sorry, but how was FFXII real time? Certainly, that was an option available, but last I checked, the game was skewed such that real time gameplay was more or less impossible against any real challenge (like any of the last few elite hunts).
EDIT: And to clarify, last I checked, FFXII just added a timer to each turn. Hardly "real time" and how we get from FFXII to hack and slash, as some posters have said, is a mystery to me. The simple fact that _openeing a menu_ paused all gameplay in FFXII to me signified that the game was still very much turn-based and that the timers were just a weak attempt at marrying JRPG with WRPG conventions.
What a joke this racist issue is coming too. I mean, they complained about GTA, RE5. Do Germans complain when you're never able to pick a german mission. Did Italians complain when the first GTA came out? I'm sorry but this is redicolous.. It's getting way to out of hand.. What pisses me off is BET. Black Entertainment Television. FUBU For Us By Us. What if we had a WET White Entertainment TV.. Do you realize the ish that would be stirred. Come on, for @#% sake it's a video game and yes it's not all based in the North America or Europe..

The argument could be made, and I'm not making it here, is that BET and FUBU are exceptional because most every other channel is a de facto "WET.
1. The system supports use of a wireless controller, but doesn't supply one; it allows you to surf the web but doesn't give you a keyboard.
2. I bought my hdmi cables while visiting a friend in Finland. I don't recall the name of the store as it was quite some time ago but I sent him an email asking what the store was called. It cost me something in the ballpark of 13 dollars. The truth of the matter is is that you should be able to find cheap cables, you just have to spend some time looking for them.
3. However, if we are all full of crap and hdmi cables are universally as expensive as you say (and indeed, when I bought the ps3 the clerk tried to hawk 2 meter monster cables off on me and those were like... $130) then please consider that you are suggesting that Sony include an item with their system that would potentially drive the price up another 50 bucks... seems like an odd idea to me.
Ninja Gaiden is fantastic. It's so surprising to me how much I still enjoy that game even though I bought, day one, when it was out for the xbox.
Sigma isn't as hard as Black either, so that should be good if you're not familiar with the game. It's quite hard (at first) but very cool and very rewarding.
