I hate my self for being excited...

Over the weekend I finally decided to take a look at the latest game in the Need For Speed series, NFS: Carbon. I've really enjoyed the Underground and Most Wanted game, so I had relatively high hopes for Carbon, despite the "meh" reviews. I was disapointed. The racing in the game is great, the cutscenes are still dumb in an awesome, awesome way and the game got the NFS-feelgood thing to it, And even though I know that this game is kinda dumb, I enjoy. Don't ask me why.

The thing with Carbon that made me so bummed, was the length of the game. The day a racer takes 6 hours to finish, I'm emmigrating to Mars. Well guess what, that day is now. I played the game in two sittings and when I beat the Razor-wannabe in a fast-paced journey on the Carbon Canyon, the message I got was something like: Congratulations on finishing Need For Speed: Carbon. There's still plenty to do in game. Try the career mode with another car class..."

It's the 21th century, EA. When Gran Turismo easily offers 100 hours of career, surely you can try to fill at least 10% of that time...

Anyway, I checked Gamespot videos for the trailer of the next game in the franchise, Need For Speed: ProStreet. I totally hate myself for being excited for that game, but what the hell. That game looks freakin' awesome. The trailer is just 45 seconds of some cars lining up for a race, so I totally shouldn't get excited. The sad thing is probably that I'm going to buy a 360 to play this game.

In other news, I'm starting my summerjob. basically I'm just going to go around in the mountain and look after some cottages for a week, and that will get me about 2800 NOK which is about 466$. I'm saving up for that 360...A week without a single game, movie, podcast or song. Ah, Well
