The N-Family Gathered...at last

I almost dropped writing this post for Puzzle Quest, but since all were probably eagerly waiting for a new blog entry, I would have felt bad.

So the DS Lite has been teasing me with its awesome design and improved screen ever since it came out, but since I already owned a fully functional DS, I decided not to buy one. When my old DS broke, I was already saving up for a Wii. Therefore, I've been DSless for about 9 months. On Friday, I was in one of my local electronic-retailers, when I suddenly noticed that they had slashed the price of the DS Lite with 200 NOK (30$). Five minutes later, I was the happy owner of a black DS Lite. It was pretty much an impulse buy, but probably the only impulse buy I never will regret. The DS Lite is the perfect version of what's probably the greatest handheld system out there.

Finally, the Nintendo family is gathered in my collection. I have a DS Lite, a Wii and GameBoy Micro. The Micro I just bought because it was marked down 50% at a sale earlier this year. As I said in an earlier post, I would really like them to interact.

It's nice to want things.

Speaking of being burnt , I ordered Puzzle Quest for the DS earlier this week on amazon, and I was really hoping that it would show up on Saturday, so I could actually play something on my new DS. When I checked the mailbox on Saturday, there was no Puzzle Quest there. I was really disappointed, and in my despair, I went to a game store and bought the DS version of Need for Speed: Carbon at a sale. Yeah, I know.

But here's the tragic part: When I came home, I grabbed my DS and popped in the NFS cartridge. The same second I was turning my DS on, my dad came in to my room and threw a package from amazon at my bed. "This came for you in the mail today".

I will say though, Puzzle Quest is just great fun and will probably help me kill the time before Planet Puzzle League and Elite Beat Agents comes out.

If you're looking at it with doubt, you can try a demo of the PC version. You'll find it at Gamespot's page for the game.

I've been thinking of writing a "Week in Review" feature every Sunday, but we'll see how I feel about it tomorrow (Which is technically today). If you think this is a good idea, or if you have another comment on this post or my blog in general, leave a comment. Every comment makes me a little happier:D
