Honestly ps3 can get loud but not as loud as 360 but ya my ps3 kinda gets loud at times and i have it wel vented from all directions and its standing so ya.KILLERJAK702KA

lol... you must have one of the very first PS3s.... because mine is virtually silent as I stated before. In fact, it's so quiet, at night when my kids go to bed, I have the volume almost at the lowest setting not to wake them up and I still CAN'T hear my PS3 running. I only hear a little clicking noise while a game is loading and that's not coming from the fan, it's just the hard drive I guess.

So yeah..... mine is totally quiet. :)

I was just looking at the GAMEFLY website and I was thinking about joining and was wondering if any of you are members and if it's really worth it.

Because of the PS3's current limited game selection, I'd hate to go out and spend $60 on a game, so I thought I can maybe give gamefly a try. Any suggestions, comments or advise??

Not just because I own a PS3, but the PS3 is virtually silent. The ONLY time you hear a noise is when a game is loading..... other than that, it's SILENT. No lie.

EDIT: i saw more screenies outside this post and crysis does have outstanding graphics...too bad its vista only and vista sucks lol

Crysis looks much better, but Haze still looks pretty darn good. Especially on a system that only costs $600. A video card alone to really show off Crysis will cost about that.babystapler

Dude.... you're SO DEAD ON with that statement. I went out and spent $660 (USD) on an XFX GeForce 7800 GTX (overclocked) just to be able to play FARCRY at max settings.

So yeah...... your statement is 110% TRUE.
