From what my friend told me that works in the TV department at best buy, he said that it is supposed to brighten the darker areas, making the picture more crisp and also kicks on some other processor, or shuts one down or something allowing the refresh time to be shorter (from 8ms to 3 or 4 ms) which also allows the picture to be a little bit more crisp. Thats what he told me and he said it does make a noticeable difference. I have yet to try it out myself, but i am going to purchase a samsung tv with the game mode in the next month or 2 though.

Wal-Mart carries the new Samsung LCD HDTV's with the game mode and everything, for dam good prices too. They have a 32" with the game mode for $900.00 and a 37" with the game mode for $1200.00, they also have some smaller TVs around 27" still with the game mode for like $500 or $600. They are all 720p 1080i though, but they do come with HDMI inputs and everything else, and I hear that the new game mode they come with makes a pretty big difference. I have been looking myself for a 1080p tv, but saw that walmart carries the newer samsungs and changed my mind and im going ot get one of the 32" or 37" Samsungs there at wal-mart. Just check it out, wal-mart is always dropping the prices on them. At my wal-mart here where i live, a week ago both of those TVs were almost $200 more.

Yea, and some ppl just havent had any problems with their systems that have had them for a long time. Also, yea it is kind of a pain that some ppl have had to replace systems a few times, but atleast Microsoft has extended the warranty on the systems to 3 yrs now.

why would the controller have 3 red lights when it is the system that crashes? If the controller breaks then it just well... breaks. But I have never had a controller break on me unless i have dropped something on it or something to that extent.

I have a 360, ive one since about 2 months after launch. The reason i am asking is b/c i am going to buy an elite sometime soon, and i wastrying to get some info to see if it would be worth it to wait for the "falcon" systems or to just get one now or in the next month or so.

The ring of death is also known as the Red Rings of Death, which is known for when a person's 360 crashes 3 red lights will flash around the power button normally where the green lights are that show which controller's are connected and such. But, anyways, I have had my system since oh about 2 months after launch and I havent had a problem at all, LOL, im kinda just waiting for my time to come(hopefully not around Halo 3, i will be so pissed.) But i do have a warranty at my local Gamestop so i could just take it in and get another one. But the chances of your 360 never getting the RRoD, i would say is slim. Now the new systems that are coming out with the new heatsink and such you would probably have a better chance.

Yes, the new premiums are made this year most likey(I wouldnt see why they wouldnt be made this year) and the fact that some ppls systems crashed or got the RRoD is purely coincidental. There is no way an update can make your system crash. It is just like some ppl will buy a game and then put it in the drive and their system will get the RRoD and then some ppl will make a topic or say that a certain game "killed" or gave their system the RRoD. It's all just purely coincidental.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what exactly is the "falcon" systems that are to be released. Is it just a system with just a new heatsink in it, or does it also include some kind of chip or something? Im just a little confused about all this here. Oh, and does anyone know when they are going to start shipping the new "falcon" systems? Thanks
