I don't think I can credit one game as being the one. Numerous titles come to mind. Wolfenstein 3D, Warlords, Commander Keen, Prince of Persia, Quarantine and Street Rod. Oh, and Transport Tycoon.
I spend my gaming evenings playing MVP 2005 with the 2007 mod, Football Manager 2007 and a bit of C&C3.
A cheap EGA graphics version of Snake.Wolf3D I think. It could also have been Championship Manager, Warlords or another football manager game called PC League. Oh, I almost forgot Hotrod and Sensible Soccer for Amiga.
