Explanation into Xbox Live Subscriptions and If its Region Coded

I have been noticing that many people seem to be confused about xbox live subscriptions, whether they are region coded or not. Meaning can UK player buy an xbox live 12 month Subscription from U.S and play it on a U.K account. Or Can I buy 2100 Points from U.K and use it on a U.S account. These are some of the questions raised up in Gamespot's Forum. It all depends on what you are buying. Some codes work world wide, while some codes are region locked. I will take you through all the codes and where it works. The 12 Month subscription the most popular of all the game cards at this moment, works world wide. Unless if you get your 12 Month from a bundle pack. As far as I know the 12 month subscriptions sold in US and Europe should work in any country. The 12 month sold in Asia will not work outside of Asia. The 1 Month subscription Code which is out of production works world wide. The 3 Month subscription code will work world wide, unless if you buy them from the starter pack. Points: 1600 Points and 4000 Points will work only in U.S 2100, 800 Points and 4200 points will work only in Europe. 1400 and 2800 points will only work in Canada.
