I can't do it on the site for some reason, so I'll do this here. I just got the message of the episode in the message of this finale episode when I saw it on you tube. These people who commented on it make me look like I'm sane! So watched it a few times and finally got it. The monster: It was a symbol for crime in general, the neverending fight for what is right. That was it's only purpose. Terra: The creators wanted her back only to a)Appease the Terra heads, and b)it was a reminder that things changes, we won't always have The Titans on at 8 when we see a comercial for it. Red X was a plot device, and as Robin said "Sometimes we want to see what isn't really there". This was all symbolizm, so there was no need for some big villian beatdown, no Terra is ressurected and joins the Titans and everything is happy again crap. No fanboy/fangirl's wet dream. It was the perfect finale, and I understand that now.
