Isn't it a general rule that you should spend more in a recession and spend less in good economic times? Not saying that the amount Obama spent is fine. l4dak47Yes, because indulgent spending really got the country back on track before WWII (Here's a hint...it just made it worse).

I read the excerpts you listed in your OP. I didn't see anything wrong with that bill, I agree with it on everything.
Only thing though is we should provide Israel the means for it to defend it'self, not attack other countries. I don't want that. I just want Israel to be recognized as a nation by the Arab countries AND for them to stop attacking them. If they stop attacking Israel then Israel would attacking them. Israel is about defense, not attack.
I do hope they kick the crap out of the Iranians though, I hope they kick them hard too so they never come back and try it again.

So your saying there is a giant Jewish lobby that bribes powerful politicians? This sounds like a conspiracey theory.
That's not what the article says. Read it.Please read this blog post. http://viewfrommasada.com/2011/05/25/why-american-aid-to-israel-is-bad-for-israel-and-america/I read the excerpts you listed in your OP. I didn't see anything wrong with that bill, I agree with it on everything.

I am seriously sick of these foreign entanglements. Stay the hell out of other nations' affairs.famicommanderWhat also is annoying is that all of this military "support" is thanks to extremely wealthy Jewish bribery groups who persuade Congress with their "generous donations" to act pro-Israel. Israel is no saint. They've done their fair share of murder and brutality. Supporting Israel like this precipitates the conflicts in the Middle East, pulling the region away from peace and into more violence.
No, I just think society shouldn't let some people to accumulate so much money and resources while so many haven't even something to eat.kuraimenIn the ideal society, nobody would be poor and nobody would be rich. It's a real shame that people are too inherently greedy to allow communism to work.
Having hobbies is one thing. Flaunting your hobbies by driving all over Manhattan in your 400 grand Rolls-Royce is another. This thread has taught me that if you have expensive hobbies like buying luxury automobiles you are automatically a "snob". themoreyouknow.jpg

DRM doesnt hurt pirates.. its an attempt to make you grovel at their feet in all new ways in order to ensure they have you as a brand loyal consumer. piracy is an excuse. its like the TSA. they arent out dealing with terrorist plots their here to make you complacent Funny you mention the TSA. It's laughably easy to bypass their stupid security methods and blow up planes if terrorists really wanted to. They, like DRM, not only don't stop the terrorists, but hurt innocent people who just want to get to their flight by slowing everyone down.[QUOTE="Link3301"]
Why do devs take so much heat on this forum and in many other places, for something that is not their fault. They have been forced to used DRM by the pirates who pirtated their games. If anyhting we should blame the pirates not the developers.

There a couple of brands out in Manhattan that I see frequently: Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Ferrari. I feel disgusted every time I walk by those cars. What person really needs to spend 200 grand on a car? If I were filthy rich, I'd get something decent and a chauffeur. This is just ridiculous.[QUOTE="peterw007"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"] *shrugs* I've known people who've owned "obnoxiously expensive" cars, and yet they still came off as overall good people. That being said, you don't get a Porsche unless you want to show off. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, and one can publicly display their wealth without being a jackass. Mostly, I just wanted to state that I'd be afraid to get a car like that, even if I WAS super-rich. Cars like that scream "wealth", and we all know that there are lots of people who hate wealthy people. If I drove a Porsche, I'd constantly be afraid of people keying it or hitting it with eggs and paint.Klipsh
So driving yourself around is a sign of snobbery, but having a chauffeur isn't?
At least with a chauffeur you're out of the public eye. Besides, in some countries, tons of middle-class citizens have a dedicated maid and a chauffeur, as labor is dirt cheap.
