So a few days ago I jumped back into Fable 2 for the 1st time in a very long while, and after a period of re-adjustment (remembering where I was, what I was doing and recalling I had enough "will lines" running all over me I kinda looked like a Smurf at an Ibiza rave...), I thought to myself "maybe it's time to change my alignment....?"
You see, so far I've remained pure & good. I'm one heck of a donating, crowd-pleasing, slave-helping, hobbe-squashing, bandit-breaking, dog-treating, tofu-eating goody-two shoes it would make Ned Flanders throw-up with envy! And I have to admit, it's starting to get tiresome.
As I stride towering confidently through the back-streets of Bowerstone, scores of people rush out to greet me......but then one of them accidentally blocks me off, usually an innocent child, and for the briefest of evil moments I start to reach for the ol' "B" Button to blast out some Inferno to clear a path, but my morality then gets the better of me and I patiently wait until the crowds die down or get bored.
I wonder how the Pope deals with it? Everywhere he goes that dude gets swamped with adoring fans. No wonder they cart him about in a bloody great chair or have him make speeches from balconies! I wonder if he ever thinks "Look, just get out of my way, or I'll poke you with a sharp stick!" :D
As I merrily play my way through this game, something will happen that will trigger me to become a loose cannon and join the dark side - I can just feel it. Maybe some kid will come up to me and ask for an autograph, only for me to fumble around and realise I've run out? Maybe the food-stall in Bowerstone Market runs out of celery? Maybe the same scruffy idiot villager that constantly asks me to marry him ends up getting a rejection he never bargained for?
Noooo - this has to be planned properly! I want my downfall to be scripted to a point when I have reached the pinnacle of purity, only to turn into Darth Vadar and go absolutely nuts! lol
Or, I may carry on and when I'm done, just start over with a new save, and go for evil & corrupt from the off. It's probably more exciting!
