seems pretty unrealistic... I mean you can't add 5.000 MS points to your account by pressing the buttons you normally use for loading up a game. ;) anyway, still funny when you think about it.
Now I'm getting it! But I think there is a misunderstanding... I want to use the S-Video AV cable for Xbox 360, not the component cable... You can't use them together. The S-Video cable got 3 cinch connectors and one for S-Video, that's it! What I can do (not sure if it really works) is to use one of the cinch connectors for the video input to my TV and the S-Video connector for the video input to the dazzle... So I get to see at least a picture on my TV, even if it's not the best quality. Because TV and PC are NOT in the same room. My idea is to buy an extension cable for the USB cable from the dazzle and connect it to the PC in the other room. For the audio input I'm going to use 2 splitter cables. Does this sound like it could work or is there a better solution? In my opinion the only alternative (besides buying a capture card that can handle HD) is to get an S-Video splitter so that the signal on the TV screen would gain some quality. But on the other side I use this configuration just for the time of recording / capturing and when it's done I play on HD using my HDMI cable. So far, so good? Any suggestions?
Besten Dank! Schoen, hier gleich mal jemand aus D. zu treffen. :) Back to English: So at the moment I just have an HDMI (to HDMI) cable and the original Microsoft component cable that comes with the Xbox 360. When I buy an S-Video cable for the Xbox 360, what comes next? There are 4 connecters on the S-Video cable (video, audio left, audio right, s-video). When I connect the two audio cables with my dazzle video card, then my TV won't have an audio signal because it goes straight into the computer using dazzle's usb cable. However, I think that I could connect the S-Video cable to the dazzle and the video (both from the S-Video cable) to the TV. Might work but I don't think that's what you recommended. Maybe you could explain it in detail, because right now I am not getting the picture. Thanks again (also in advance)! :)
Hi! I am trying to capture some video from my Xbox 360 games. The Xbox is connected to my TV with an HDMI cable and so I thought I could use an AV cable with S-Video as the second output of the video signal. (I know that you have to remove the plastic from the AV cable first, so that both cables fit into the console together). I want to use a dazzle video capture card to get the S-Video signal from the AV cable and send it to my PC using USB. The only question is: Is it possible to split the video signal, so that I can watch the game on my (HD)-TV and capture it with the dazzle card at the same time? I don't want to buy an expensive splitter and thought this could work, but I didn't find any information about it. It would be great if anyone could tell me if this (probably) works... Greetings from Germany! :) ph4ntom_x
