An attacked against civilan cetres in a country wanting to surrender...

It was terrorism, plain and simple. Don't expect americans to agree though, they have a rather warped view of their military history.

htekemerald

This is why your argument falls aparts before you even get to the distorted definition of terrorism and the America hate.

Did japan want to surrender?

Yep.

Man look at those distorted facts! Your country dropped two nuclear weapons on civilian centres to intimidate the Russians, deal with it.

That's not a fact. Deal with it.

Yes, because most of the reported terrorist attacks are committed by Islamic extremists from predominantly Arab nations.

I would start with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. Those are your staple heavy metal bands. They got me into metal, that's for sure.

I would guess it has to do with modern (ie within the last couple hundred years) schooling... 17 or 18 is around the age "most" people graduate from high school level education... And thus are educated enough to be self reliant in the world...

It isn't religion lol... All that BS says you can marry 12 year olds if you want to since they are capable of bearing children... So it definitely isn't from there...

Buttons1990

Why do you feel the need to keep bringing up religion? No one else did. Your statement about graduating high school was enough.

Because it makes them feel smart when they argue on internet forums.

I saw on the evening night news that the soldiers claim they found and killed Osama.

Yeah right.

You do know that there are body doubles. Saddam Hussein had a body double or two.

So how do we really know if Osama was found and killed by the U.S. soldiers? Let's not get ahead of ourselves where the troops are all of a sudden claiming they found him and shot him or whatever

slamminjammin69

iirc, the attack took place a week ago and they only announced it today after DNA confirmation.

Not to the Japanese. They'll forever be known as a foreigner.

BMD004

Most people in this thread don't seem to understand this. Japan is probably the most homogenous and xenophobic nation on this planet. Not a "bring us your poor huddled masses yearning to be free" multicultural melting pot like America. White (and Black, for that matter) people are "gaijin" - foreigners and outsiders, forever.

So are they racist, or close-minded, or what?

Japan has historically been a very xenophobic nation and can be considered racist. There are many instances of stores in Japan that prohibit non-Japanese from shopping there. The only reason why they generally tolerate tourists is because of money.
