@artillery77: I'm a fan of this series and I've been looking forward to Darksiders 3 for months, after hoping and waiting while hearing nothing for years after Darksiders 2. I agree with pretty much everything this review says and I would refund my copy if I could. This game is not worth it.
I find this quote interesting. "But the work of art is done; it is finished. It cannot be altered or deleted. Doing so would fracture the relationship between an artist and the audience, and it would render the original work meaningless." Releasing a bad work of art also fractures the relationship between artist and audience, and the ending Bioware gave us--which ran contrary to many of the established themes behind Mass Effect--renders the previous games meaningless. The endings are bad because they are not internally consistent, run contrary to the themes and ideas behind Mass Effect, and because they offer no closure--not because they are bitter or because Commander Shepard dies. If it is to be argued that changing the ending would be a failure of artistic integrity, then I say the endings as they are represent a failure of artistic skill.
Mass Effect 3 was great... Until the last 10 minutes, when it endeavored to completely invalidate everything you'd ever done throughout the entire series.
