I really like the way you can steal an enemys or a bosses ability in games like Kirby, aria/dawn of sorrow and mega man and I'm curious to know if there are any other games like that.

What were your first games, favourite games and memories.
My older sister had a nes so we played together on that a lot. The first games I can remember were all the main Mario ones, operation wolf, duck hunt, top gun: second mission, nes golf, Jack Nicklaus golf, new ghostbusters 2, blades of steel. You can probably guess what my favourite was.
Apologies if this has been asked before but as I love using goodreads I wondered if there was an equivalent for my other passion- video games. The best I could find was grouvee. However I don't think you can receive recommendations based on games you've rated which is frustrating because it's one of my favourite feature of goodreads. Are you able to do something similar on gamespot? Or do you have another website you use exactly for what I'm after?
'Essential' implies the very best which most people know anyway (especially when it concerns the genesis/mega drive...there aren't very many) Wouldn't a highly recommended stickie be better where people can also post obscure games/hidden gems. Or sort it into 3rd gen/4th gen/5th gen...I don't know, just throwing in some ideas haha
I've never played it but I love the newer castlevania games that borrow metroids gameplay concepts (hence the term metroidvania) so I'm sure I'll like it.
Personally I'm a Bullfrog fan but haven't played the new in trend simulator games. I've heard farming and eurotruck is good though.
