It must be my week to finish games. Last night I beat Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. This game is my favorite DS game so far. Which means a lot considering I wasnt sure I was actually going to get the game.

When this game first came out, I had just returned the RTS crap they called Heroes of Mana. I knew Revenant Wings was also an RTS and thought that purchasing another game in the genre might not be a smart move for me.

But since it was Final Fantasy I took the chance in purchasing it, and dont regret my decision for a minute. Revenant Wings showed that it is possible to make an amazing RTS game on the DS. The gameplay is fun, the characters keep you connected to the game, and the story made you want to continue playing.

I will definately be playing this game again when I have the chance, its just too good not to. The CGI ending gave me goosebumps, dont know why but it did. I think Square Enix is starting to prove they can make their spinoffs/sequels/prequels just as good as the originals.

I sure hope this isnt the last time we hear about Vaan and the gang. I grew to love these characters and wouldnt mind seeing them back for another round of action. For me, a game has to have a good story, great gameplay, and characters I can connect with. Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings had it all.
