Uggh it was so hard to make this list, much harder than the DS games. The top 3 were set in stone for me but it was all of the others that I couldnt decide on. Some of them I havent even finished yet which makes it difficult....
But anywho, heres 7 through 10:
10. Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions – Never played the original on the PS1. This game has a great story and characters. It takes place in Ivalice following the nation's defeat in the Fifty Years' War. I'm just not a fan of srpgs. It is best one I have played though. I love the sprites and I'm glad they didn't try to upgrade the graphics into 3D. The cell shaded cutscenes are wonderful .
9. Tales Of Eternia – My first imported game :P I heard it was good and was in serious need of a jrpg at the time  It is a shame it never came to the states, but anyone who is willing to import can get the UK version. Eternia has 2 planets, Inferia and Celestia, that are separated by a barrier. As the barrier starts to fade, Reid and his childhood friend are swept into an adventure to stop the two planets from colliding with each other. The gameplay is real time with commands set to different buttons, basically the typical Tales gameplay. Battles play out in a 2D side scrolling manner with a world map for navigation. I had fun playing it and suggest it to anyone who is looking for a good jrpg for their PSP and I'm sure Tales fans would find the game enjoyable.
8. Brave Story New Traveler – A very nice turn based rpg. The game starts with your character being too interested in playing his game to pay attention to his best friend. When he realizes she is missing, he searches to find her unconscious from some unknown illness. A voice tells him that he can make her better by stepping through the portal, which he of course does. He enters the world of Vision where he must partake in quests to obtain the proof that he is worthy to meet with the Goddess of Destiny, who should be able to tell him how to cure his friend. The characters and story are entertaining though annoying at times. Also, I found this game to be a bit on the easy side. Overall though, a very solid rpg and fun game.
7. Monster Kingdom Jewel Summoner – Every wonder what pokemon would be like with a more mature story, characters, and world? That's what you get from this game by Atlus. You play as Vice, a monster hunter, who is tracking down the Abomination that killed his mother. But the story expands and grows as Vice learns what is going on with the monsters and Abominations in the world. The monsters are awesome and can evolve and learn abilities. It has great customization that requires time but is not difficult to learn. The characters actually have back stories, personalities, goals, and must face important decisions on their journey.
Ok thats all for now. Ill do #4 to 6 in my next blog! :)
