EVs? Also, is this for UU or what? You have some solid players on your team but Manelectric is questionable (and the moveset is a little odd, why Substitute?) considering you already have Bolt on Froslass. Consider Rest on Snorlax to soak special hits (assuming you EV him right).

It's not a glitch. It doesn't show up on the DS forums, but it does on the main page.

It's likely just for search engines, since people were calling it that early on in its life cycle, not so much anymore.

Hi all,

Imported a DS Lite from Japan when it came out...fine, no problems -- Canada uses the same voltage anyway, so it works the same.

However, now I'm abroad in the UK for a year. I bought a stepdown convertor and a plug adaptor (the latter for my laptop). I was a bit concerned about the stepdown convertor causing problems with the DS charging, but when I plug it in it actually doesn't seem to do anything. The charging light stays off -- the DS does not seem to be recharging.

How can I solve this problem? Is it possible to just buy a UK adapter? Voltage is not my forte, and I've attempted to research this but Google yields few answers, and something authoritative would be nice as to avoid any unpleasant explosions. If anyone can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it.

I played Pokemon Red on gameboy and that was enough, there isn't anything that any other generic turn-based game has. The franchise limits itself by churning out cutesy crap that isn't worth the material they're printed on. nekrotaunter

Again, you're not looking hard enough. There's a massive competitive battling community on the net. Playing the campaign is simple, yes. Playing against other people using EVs, breeding, advanced strategies and so on is another thing entirely.

I never gave a damn about Pokemon, and I never will. I want an enjoyable game to play online that won't make me feel like i'm six. nekrotaunter

Pokemon is probably going to be the deepest online game on the Wii or DS for quite some time. If you actually take the time to look past the cute exterior, you find a game with an incredible amount of customization and tactics.

[QUOTE="f5lesnar2000"]its called promotions, when you buy the game when it comes out you get the otherkidrock17xp

what I was getting at is that they are saying "yeh you get this free game when you purchase this other game" but then they don't even have the free game instock to give you

Hence the disclaimer "while supplies last".

Uh, they don't exactly have a 'track record', 'body of work', or 'any thing that would lead a sane person to assume there was much of a chance that they'd release any game, let alone a good one'?Spelunker

I've been saying this all along, but apparently a few shots that might not even be gameplay from a tiny unknown developer are enough to get people excited these days.

I highly doubt that :( Can you name one game with decent first person sword play elements?

No, but I don't have to. The point isn't whether it has been done before, it's whether it COULD be done. Simplistic directional swipes could be down with a dual-stick controller no problem.

One thing that would make me buy Starfox for the Wii in an instant, no questions asked...drumroll please...

Character design should be like the puppets in the SNES ad design. Seriously, who would not buy that? Fox has had enough weird redesigns in the past...but if we got something like that, it would make the game far more memorable, visually distinct from other space shooters, and just overall more interesting. Ideas?

I am not saying it is the best out there, far from it. But to say it completely sucks is absurd. It delivers a fun experience that you cant get on other consoles, simple as that. And to the people saying the controls suck, you must be absolutely horrible at Wii FPS games then. I land nothing but headshots 85% of the time.O_Rly_FTW

It might not completely suck, but it certainly leans in that direction. You could play this game anywhere else -- the swordfighting came down to simple gesturing which would work easily with control sticks, and the aiming was awkward. The reason you got so many headshots is that the game compensates for its loose aiming with very generous auto-aim, meaning you can take someone out while firing into the wall next to them.

Those who don't like the game (such as myself) just have high standards for a "good" title. There's no reason to give every game an 8+ score, and Red Steel certainly doesn't deserve it.
