This site is like a bad boyfriend...

I want a tv site that is constantly updated, that has awesome ongoing heated discussions about shows, that has the inside scoop, and the latest hottest tv news. I like the setup of this site and the article writers, but I wish that site had what I listed above. I feel like it's not as frequently updated as I would want, there's not enough up-to-date info.

I still love it and it's my primary general tv site, but does anyone have recommendations for sites that can fulfill my stated desires??

Final few days countdown

I have to go back to school on friday. that means no more tv. That means I gotta soak in as much as I can this week. Nah I'm joking. But am I? My summer was saturated with tv. Will I go into withdrawal without it? I have to go cold turkey. That's not gonna be fun. And then I'll have to wait a few months till thanksgiving break and then a few months after for winter break. What ever will I do?

Ok so that was a joke. But.. maybe thats just because I've recently discovered the wonderful world of torrents..

Happy Labor Day! Here's to a good (school) year!

the 4th!

Happy 4th everyone. I've got my all american bbq all planned out: chicken, corn, cole slaw, apple pie. I'm excited. I love holidays. Everyone is always in a good mood and people are nice to each other (for the most part). Yep. So to entertain myself I've been playing yahoo games. They are good. Chocolatier- excellent. Great music too. Fun stuff. I'm out. Happy holiday

tv life

Yesterday I watched TV all day. Yeah it sounds pretty sad. But it's not like it was the only thing I was doing. I watched a few episodes of Law and order svu on usa, I watched two eps of army wives, and I watched a bunch of eps of Weeds ondemand. Then later I watched the season premiere of degrassi. All in all, a good day of tv I would say.

I cannot wait for sunday and the next ep of army wives!

First post

I just want to say for my first post that I love TV. I've always loved TV. And for most of my life I've felt guilty about my love for TV. People always say TV is bad for you, it's mindless, you're lazy when you watch TV, you're not using your brain, it's antiproductive, it's a waste of time... Well, in actuality, it could be those things, but it all depends on your interaction with television. My interaction is quite active as it is for most people. The beauty of TV is that you can make it whatever you want it to be: you can actively engage with it, or you can turn it on as background, or you can use it passively as something to relax to-- it can be any and all of these things. Television is communication. You can learn so much from television and the information comes at you in different forms combined: visual and auditory- you can connect what you hear with what you see with what you had previously known with what you are now learning. I believe television is one of the greatest forms of media. Yes it can be dangerous if used improperly, if engaged with blindly, but if you develop the ability to intelligently engage with television it can be one of your greatest tools and pleasures.
