Almost. It's amazing. It's not as tall or long as most cases that I've used.

I think it's been about 6 years since I last posted on these forums. I Decided to build a new rig a couple weeks ago. I basically kept my old power supply, the 1TB storage drive, and Blu-ray drive. Still have a couple upgrades coming. (more RAM, SLI, another monitor, custom GPU loop...) I've since completely rearranged the room this was in and cleaned up the rat's nest of wiring.

If you're going to be getting an i7 cpu why not get a motherboard that supports Tri-Channel DDR3 RAM? The one i got is plenty fine for what i do, but if you're only looking at using 1 video card then don't waste the money on a mobo that has multiple pci-e slots for vid cards. I don't have any specific models on my mind but i've always liked Gigabyte, Sus and MSI mobos.

As far as the sound card goes, i use one and i love it. I think the one i'm using is discontinued now but you can't go wrong with any of the X-Fi's from creative. the idea is that when it comes to games and stuff, it will process teh audio instead of having your cpu do it, so that just leaves more processing tasks the cpu can do now. It's not necessary but nice to have.

alright thanks. I was leaning more towards using the ssd for gaming and the hdd for everything else. i don't care about boot times, i almost always just have my computer in sleep mode anyways.

what exactly do you mean by whining? Do you mean on forums whining about about issues within games or patches and stuff or do you mean in-game whining on multiplayer games. What games do you mean in particular. I'll be honest, i've been a whiner about release dates, like Alan Wake (that i read about like 4 years ago) and SC2, but i'd truly rather buy a better, more ready and capable product then have to seetle and wait for patches that may not even come.

looking at getting one to replace my old WD 250GB caviar. Gave the raptor away to a friend that really needed a new drive. I'm getting tired of long loading screens and don't really care to mess with raid, unless i'm truly convinced otherwise. So I'm looking to speed up my system overall for gaming. My HDD is apparently the big bottleneck in my setup. Three questions:

1. What's a good, reliable overall SSD that will speed up my load times that is under $250 preferably?

2. What's the difference between MLC and SLC and what's the advantage/disadvantages?

3. As far as installation and setup, what will i need to do? I'm sure a format will be necessary or something, but are there any odd configurations or settings i need to do in my CMOS or in Windows.

I've already got an unopened 1TB Seagate Barricuda that i was thinking about returning, but i may use that as my main HDD for the core of my system and use a SSD as my gaming drive. Any suggestions and would be greatly appreciated.

honestly, sure, they've all come out within a year of each other, but there's really a bit more going on in BC2. the draw distance alone is insane compared to the other games. What cuts it in one game doesn't always do it in a similarly designed game released around the same time. I remember when BF2 first came out years ago, a lot of ppl had to do some upgrading because of it. I'm trying to get rid of some decent comp parts, just message me if you're interested. i got pretty much enough to build a whole new comp.

I got the new bad company for pc a little less than a week ago and so far i enjoy it. One of the issues i'm seeing though other than the already stated connectivity issues is the water surfaces and even teh glass in windows has a weird glitching reflection effect. it's hard to even really describe what it is. It's kinda like when you see a CRT computer screen being recorded and displayed on tv or something with the framerates showing movement of different color depth lines. The weird thing is that it's ONLY water and glass. Specs are listed below and i have the newest drivers for everything that matters. Just wanna know if others are experiencing this also and if they've fixed it.
