And I am a Naruto boy? VIZ has just unfolded plans for their Naruto Nation campaign, and fans who can't get enough of the ninja manga will be excited to hear about it. VIZ plans to release a whopping THREE Naruto volumes per month from September through December - yes, kids, TWELVE Naruto volumes in FOUR months - until the company has caught up to the Japanese releases. In other words, if you know a VIZ translator, you probably won't seem them out and about until January.
The releases will include volumes 16 through 27, after which the story arc jumps two and a half years ahead, as has happened with the anime. It's not addressed in the press release, but presumably after this VIZ plans to try and keep up with the Japanese releases as much as possible.
But of course, there is never enough Naruto, so VIZ will also release another profile book, an ani-manga of the upcoming Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow film, an artbook, a new novel, and the fourth Naruto collector's guide. So if you're not Narutarded out already, you will be come New Years. Yipe.
Check the jump for a rough manga release schedule; I'm sure we'll hear more about all that other swag soon.
