It has come to my attention that the quality of cartoon has significantly decrease throughout the beginning of the 21st century. Cartoon Network has completely forgotten the vow they promised back when they were just beginning. All of a sudden, the emergence of a wave of Japanese anime has pushed the good shows out of sight. I remember the days when Cartoon Network showed Acme Hour, Scooby-Doo & his movies, the Flintstones, and a host of other great cartoons on cable. Now the only way to see these cartoons, you have to buy satellite which is a drain on your pockets. Those days when Nickeloedon showed Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Family Double Dare, and Legends of the Hidden Temple are just a faded memory. Those days when TBS and USA even showed cartoons. TBS showing Scooby-Doo and others in the morning and USA with its Cartoon Express with Jem and the Smurfs headlining it. Today we have to suffer from Dragonball Z, Courage the Cowardly Dog among others. Now, I'm not saying that all these new cartoons are bad. I happen to enjoy the Powerpuff Girls and Family Guy, but I hope that they return back to their roots and go back to the classics.
