Gears... I couldn't stand the people so I went to Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. Yeah they produce some of the same people. Those who say discriminatory remarks and so on. But the kids are a whole lot worse in Gears than in Halo 3 or CoD 4.

[QUOTE="MotoRacer81"]I am fighting RAAM on hardcore, and it's a pretty easy fight until he gets close and I have to run to the other side. Because I have to hold the A button down for the run, I usually end up taking cover right in front of RAAM and die. I have made it to the other side a few times but barely and the same thing happens again and I die. Why would Epic put so many movements on a single button. RAAM is pretty easy to beat on caual and I don't get any acheivments for doing it, so It's not rewarding. What the heck do I do?wizdom

I beat him on hardcore, but yes the controls imo needs work, but it doesn't look like Epic care about the controls there more concern with graphics then they are about the controls in the game.

Yeah Epic is known for the Unreal Engine... but it's a company that does listen and care about their consumers. This situation was brought up a lot in fact during the early months of the game. However not with the Campaign but Multiplayer (it was part of the initial patches Epic sent out). I could understand the side of those in Multiplayer. Campaign however is something else. While he is more aggressive RAAM moves at the same rate in all difficulty settings. In other words he isn't that fast. He is not as nimble or as quick as his multiplayer avatar HA HA. These simple strategy in the bottom is the most famous and most used in taking RAAM down. Unless you don't have grenades or the bow... and suck at Active Reloads this battle should be a piece of cake in Hardcore in a single player experience.

It's weird how you take cover right away as the fight begins and you easily died. I was able to do this feat on Hardcore and Insane by myself (the feat of taking him on alone... I progressed through the game with buddies on both difficulties). The trick is the Bow and the Longshot. Dom should be taking cover somewhere and actually should be attracting RAAM quickly thus being downed. Whether he is constantly shooting or not would either help you but it should buy you some time. But yeah the combo of the bow and Longshot is the way to go. It's been a while since I've taken on RAAM and dispose of him in those difficulties. But, I do remember with active reloads it took no more than 11-13 shots to the head. So in conclusion you either suck at active reloads... can't aim well... or panic easily at the imposing presence of an ugly monster.
