Hello I had recently had a gig of pc 4000 Crucial Ballastix in my old agp 939 MB Msi K8n NEO 2 PLATium. (two 512 sticks) One stick went out completly and I replaced it with a GEIL 512 stick and that went out as well.

 

What I would like to know is can someone tell me some good ram to buy. I want to buy a GIG stick of something that will work for my mb and replace the Crucial 512 stick I have remaining. Would be great if this recommned ran was at sold at Frys.

I have no plans of oC this system. Just want a nice cheap gig stick recommendation. Thanks.

 

 

Edit. Is having a 1 gig stick preferable to having two 512 or does it matter?

actually two 512MB sticks from same brand can be used to Dual channel the RAM speeds! So i guess double the speeds. More in here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-channel_architecture

idk alot about computers, i just see 512mb, GT, and OC and thought it looked beastly...

So would a 7900 GT nVidia card be better?

.I can have newegg.com resend it but i think i only get one refund so if it won't work hooking up the molex connector to one of my spare cables don't fix it i'm screwed..sure could use some advice

YOu no clear here! Besides any molex cable you got will work! Just stuck it and let us know. IT wont blow thats for sure,
