I'd go with RW or the new Tactics game, I own both and both are great. I'm so done with square enix re-makes. I mean sure it's cool to have new graphics, sounds, and dialoge in a classic, but it really does not make the game a whole lot better, let alone 40 dollars worth better. I wish SE would focus their time on making new FF games instead of putting lipstick on a pig and wanting 40 bucks for it.
I think every team or character is represented in M:TTCG. They have dazzler in it for crying out loud, her powers consist of disco dancing! I think Alpha flight might be missing, but all in all there are tons of characters in it, so you could make the alpha flight team but they would not get the team bonuses. I pride my self on my comic book knowlege and there were at least 50 characters I've never heard of before.
I am a HUGE comic book fan so that was the hook. What makes the game great to me is the strategy. You are never out of a game if you keep a few tricks up your sleeve. Once you play through the crazy-long/difficult single player mode as either good guys or bad guys collecting all the cards you can, your looking at at least 25 hours on 1 play through, which means you can go back as either good or evil for another 25 plus hours. THEN once you think you got the game mastered you can go play people on wi-fi and be humbled again. There are almost an infinite amount of ways to make a deck. Good or Evil? Go in for knockouts or play a Kang style deck and make your opponent go crazy? Even the best player on the planet gets bad draws so no one is ever guaranteed a victory. Just a great game with mind boggling depth.
