I completely agree. I am most excited about the voice and motion controlled dashboard. I hate having to wait for my controller to turn on if I need to walk away from the tv for something in the middle of a movie. It will be nice to be able to say Xbox, Pause" and go about your business, then "Xbox, Play" when you return. But don't forget Sony hasn't given up either...Playstation Move.

OP - I agree with everything you say except the part about people masking their gamertag. This hurts no one, and gives no one an advantage. As far as the language people might use in these modded gamertags, please remember you are playing/talking about a game that is rated and intended to be played by adults, all with the freedom of speech, so that's thrown out. And for future reference, if you click on the players name you can view their gamercard which will, in turn, show you their true gamertag. I have honestly never cared about people who mask their gamertag, most of the names are funny anyways. About everything else you said, the amount of MODS...not hacks...that have been exploited since the game came out is crazy, but all of the same mods were used and exploited at one time in CoD4 as well. (except anything that has to do with kill streaks obviously) But hey, no one has you tied down forcing you to play, so it is what it is. Treyarch's World at War had modding in it too, just most of the exploits weren't discovered until after MW2 was released, so I wouldn't count on a lack of mods and exploits in Black Ops fyi. And...Transformers? Really? lol have fun.

It's the arcade version with 4gb of memory, not a 4gb hard drive. People seem to think it's a hard drive with only 4gb but it's not a hard drive, it will be 4gb of memory. It can be internal storage or flash, we just don't know yet, but one thing for sure it is not a hard drive. Just wanted to get that straight since some are still confused about that.

gago-gago
^this^ It is internal flash memory, and as much as everyone says it is useless, you have to look at the people who bought the Core/Arcade xbox 360 and got like a 256/512Mb memory card. For gamers like them this is a HUGE upgrade! This is not simply to sell more of the 250gb version, it is Microsoft appealing to a different crowd.

OP, you basically just did what the email says NOT to do.tjoeb123
This is untrue. He is not discussing any details of the beta program nor is he posting images of anything. He simply posted his INVITATION email. Obviously when the beta is released to the people who are selected, the people on their friends list will know when they are testing a Kinect game, or browsing the new ESPN Sports Feed. Microsoft just doesn't want details of the product posted before its official release. k2theswiss you failed to read and understand my previous post that you quoted, that's all I am going to say.

I wouldn't get you hopes up. With something this valuable to Microsoft, they won't just accept any Xbox Live member in. This seems like a press/industry beta to me. MS wouldn't send out Kinect models to just anyone.

Phoenix534
For one I will not get my hopes up. For two I completely disagree, they would not hand pick a SELECT few previous beta testers to send this email to if this was a press/industry beta. That doesn't even make sense. They specifically state in the email that you are NOT allowed to talk to the press about anything pertaining to the update or product while testing it. Why would they say that if it was a press beta? And about the last part of your comment, they aren't sending the models to just anyone. I am not saying I am SOMEONE but you do not know that I am NO ONE.

I bought Fallout 3 for $30 USD where I could have bought a physical copy for $20. But I have a tendency to sell games a like when I am bored with them, then a month later I decided I am ready to play...no game. It is the only game I have bought on demand.

[QUOTE="jacoby9"][QUOTE="Logan1616"]Can we email Microsoft to show our interest, and possibly get a beta invite sent our way?Logan1616
Yes we can

Any specific link/url I should follow to show my interest?

Don't waste your time, it is a private beta. Only those of us who had the application for invite emailed to us are available for the beta. I even tried using a new gamertag that I made and it would only let me sign up with the gamertag matching the email they sent me. And to whoever thinks this isn't legit, you are wrong, everything in the email directed me right to Microsoft Connect. If any of you have been beta testers for Dashboard updates before you would know this is the same site used in the past for beta testing and feedback. EDIT: This is not only a Kinect Beta, it is for Kinect and the Fall 2010 Dashboard Update.
