This is the military-industrial complex invading the gaming industry. First they'll sell you any in-game weapon - now they'll get your dollars by allowing you to relive an event that is most likely bullshit to begin with. Sorry EA, not buying.
@nathangray You may be one of the first people I've ever held an agreement with on gaming. This is a prime example of how the industry is already beginning to fail. I'm an entry level game designer and I've given up on getting into the industry. It seems to be all about money, not about creativity and entertainment. Thus, my decision was independent work. I think this is ultimately a good sign. It's unfortunate for those who have to suffer, but its an eye opener to the gaming world that something must be done.
@EKGProd @yboucher Gratuitous is not the word. Meaningless is something more like it. Games like CoD devalue the meaning of violence by giving less explicit meaning. Heavy Rain uses drama and death to show a lot more fictional value and themes. That's basically what the guy is getting at in this article.
