I've never been that enthusiastic about Sony, but I really believe that the only reason MS is doing this is because Sony didn't follow their lead and was pro-consumer. So major props to Sony.
Premise looks interesting, though with a name like Ronan O'Connor was kind of hoping it would be set in Ireland rather than what appears, from accent, to be America.
@dr_jashugan I'm guessing that it was feeling a little dated. Back in 2007 there were job postings for next-gen MMO so its been in the works for at least that long. And in last 6 years the MMO landscape has changed significantly.
Ouch, this has got to hurt. I thought the whole reason for cloud storage, no used games, always online etc. was to build a seamless system where the software is more important than the hardware. This news kind of goes against it. If Xbox is supposed to be a true ecosystem old digital games SHOULD work on Xbox One.
Pretty good wrap up. The only surprises for me was the name of the system, and its physical design. Wasn't expecting the Xbox One name, and the console looked very metallic/industrial. Not bad design, but not expecting it coming from the Xbox 360.
While it's fun to bash EA and dismiss them, this just highlights the big problem of third party support for Nintendo's consoles. If EA with its large marketing teams, and well established brands views the Wii U as not worth it, what is going to stop other large and small third party developers from coming to the same conclusion. The Wii U can't survive on just Nintendo first party games alone. Nintendo really needs to overhaul its relationship with third party developers and make it easier for all developers, big and small, to develop for their system. Because the future is not looking great for the Wii U.
@GulliversTravel No he is saying that they had to sneak in high end PCs because if they ordered off the internet(and paid the high shipping costs) customs officials would just steal it.
