Thead title says it all, do you consider Splinter Cell Conviction a stealth game?

Are there any games that you simply could not understand why they got critical acclaim, for me, it's New Super Mario Bro's, that game is shallow and repetitive.

Yes it's underrated, otherwise all the games that one GOTY wouldn't have if prefered gameplay over graphics and story.

I won't even think about that username of yours. I just won't.

That username was rushed, everything I tried was taken.

All three games are connected because they follow the same continuous story of the main character. Yeah, it would be nice for you to play them, because you become more personal with the character of Max Payne, and thus become more immersed, you know him better, you know why he does what he does, and so on.

Why wouldn't you play the first two if you want to get into this series? Btw., i suggest getting the PC version of the first two, because those are very easy to control, and have good visuals - essentially aged well, wile the consoles versions are crap (no hate involved, it's a known fact).

Sounds like a plan, I will see if i can find the PC versions, there old game so they should run fine. Shameful, but I never knew about the series until I saw Max Payne 3 advertised. Last Generation I never saw the other games in the shops, but I was seeing the hype for Max Payne 3 so I looked it up on YouTube and was blown away on how good it looked.

So I have been blown away from YouTube footage I have seen on Max Payne 3 and I am thinking on getting it but do you need to play the first 2 to understand the story?

so i guess they didn't give the ps3 version of dead space 2 a higher score?dvalo9
I never noticed that as I never played any of the Dead Space games, I have to admit when I made this thread, I should not have mentioned the games I hadn't played, just the ones I have played. And for anyone still wondering, I don't play Leisure Suit Larry, the box art was enough to turn me off on that game. Also, I did run into frame rate problems with GTA IV on 360 that people are arguing against on this thread. I actually hope this thread gets deleted.
