This shows you how the controls are gonna be.
If you look at it most of it is mapped out like the GC controller without having the advantage of a second analog. This sucks because if they properly implemented it with motion sensing controls it would have a great advantage over the dual analog control.
Here is how it should really be:
C button-equip knife, swing Nunchuk to attack with knife.
They then should give you various direction that you are able to swing the knife, giving RE4 for Wii a huge advantage over the other versions because you are able to attack with your knife much faster and more accurate.

You can already swing the remote and it's not like you have a gun out at the same time so I don't see why you would want that. I'd much rather swing with my primary hand. Also, "shake" could just be poor wording, it's not like there's a well defined lexicon for wii control terms yet.
Z Button-Z+foward to run, Z+backward.
This part works fine theres not much to do with it.

I'm not sure if you mean tilting the nunchuck back/forth, if so it's just an unnecessary gimmick. Otherwise just disregard this comment.
Remote-aim gun.
This better be accurate and faster so much that people want to get the Wii version for such a better control.

Now you're just complaining for complaining's sake. Why does it matter if other people want to get it or not? Remakes are just cash grab attempts anyways.
D-pad-press any direction to make the Wiimote sensor able to manipulate the screen.
This is much better than slapping a 8 direction D-pad to chnage the view in a 3d world. The Wiimote is a better way to change the view even than the analog.
coonana
Not a big deal if you can manipulate the screen really, chances are this would actually be more difficult (screen being moved too much too quickly). Also, it would stop you from aiming or completely throw you off your aim until you recentre your remote.
Jabbing Wiimote left or right-reloads weapon.
This is mcuh faster than reloading by shaking the Wiimote or even by pressing a button. The could use a button to reload.
coonana
How do you know that its not a single shake? What if you suddenly need to aim from one side of the screen to the other and find yourself reloading by accident? Maybe if you simply had to bring the remote off the screen and back on like what was done with lightguns.
A button/B Button-to activate switches and doors in the game, fire your weapon when holding B.
This doesnt require any change.
The reast is good.
As of right now the way Capcom wants to do the controls is a major step back from the GC/PS2 except for the aiming. I hope to god they change it. What do you guys thing baout the crappy controls they have assigned.
coonana
How is this a step back? You also go on to say later that it's no good because it's the same essentially except the second analog (c-stick) which is just remapped to the d-pad anyways.
