This exact thing has happened to me. I have also tried wiping the HDD using a SATA to USB converter and am having the same problem. It is too weird. When I boot off of the SSD, it tells me that I must pick a bootable device and makes me restart. Without the other HD plugged in, it works perfectly.... Ideas?
