The Club Is An Awesome Game!

When I first saw the Club trailer in one of the On The Spot episodes, I thought it looked cool and it must be cool to play too. But I wasn't sure at the time if I were to buy it at first because not many people were talking or mentioning about it. I watched some gameplay videos from the Internet, read the previews and reviews and the game seems kinda impressive. However I still wasn't convinced.

Just yesterday I was walking to a game shop and I saw a few copies of The Club, for all formats, on the shelves. The game was a bit pricey, but I thought to myself hey, why not? I bought the game (PC version), went straight back home, installed the game and tried it out. It was awesome! Normally I don't really fancy weak storyline and no-brainer games, but this one rocks. I really had a blast playing The Club and I couldn't stop playing until late at night. The Club is basically about an organization who hired eight dangerous people to play modern day gladiator matches. For each stage you can select any of the characters you want and the idea is to kill as many enemies as you can to score points. The more cunning your executions the better points you get for each killing. And the more enemies you kill in one go the more combos you will amass. The combos help increase your points rapidly and the objective of The Club is to achieve high scores and also to beat your competitor's scores as well.

It's a really sweet game which is a ton of fun and I highly recommend to those of you who want a game that has some Counterstrike vibe to it. There isn't much of a story and all you do is shoot people and try to achieve a higher score. It gets repetitive at some point but don't let that stop you from tyring it. I'll say it once and I'll say it again; it's awesome!
