thank you for that comprehensive look at the situation. i hadn't actually heard of yogscast due to my lack of interest in watching people play minecraft on the youtube but hopefully now people will be more aware of the issues surounding this reletivly new kickstarter platform. i myself was already concerned with the idea and although many projects are lead by truthworthy and talented people i still remain comfortable with traditional methods of buying complete products.
i dont understand the point of trading cards, i just sell them as soon as i get them and for some reason people are willing to give me money for it. i value a free low price game over a digital badge and some kind of emote icon thing i will never use
i dont normally go to other game websites but this time i had to see what other people said to justify the scores that transitor is getting. pcgamer says the story "never becomes as interesting as it seemingly should"
i think those who are complaining about gamespots score are looking for a similar comment from the reviewer and its a shame we aren't getting one since it just makes us look like an angry hate filled mob when all we ask i some form of clarification as to how the decision to give an 8 was reached. right now from this review it sounds like the game is perfect but not perfect enough which doesnt makle sense.
obviously the only way to resolve our questions is to play the game for ourselves.
@carolynmichelle @smokeless_0225 is there anything specific that stop it from being worthy of discussion or 'superb'? like it has mechanics that have been done before or some level design that falls short of amazing or story that isnt engaging enough?
