The Fall of Troy is an awesome band. When i first really got into music they were one of the first bands i listened to. They were awesome back then and their new stuff is equally as cool but for different reasons. They used to be really intense screamo hardcore progressive music. They kept the intense screamo progressive parts but toned down the screaming. The thing that's awesome about this is that just as i was getting bored with all the music coming out and how generic it all sounded, The Fall of Troy announces a new album and i check out the songs on the band's myspace. It completely clicks with what ive been wanting to hear. These guys are flippin awesome.

I am a playstation fan. But that's not to say that I hate all other systems. For one thing, you can't disrespect Nintendo. They're the only company from the beggining of games as we know them to still be around, so in my mind they're always awesome. Unlike a lot of PS fans out there I don't hate Xbox. My problem is with the Xbox fans. Many of them give little to no reason as to why they hate the PS3 so much, and most PS3 fans can give at least a few reasons why we like the PS3 more. This isn't to say that there aren't well informed Xbox owners out there and misinformed PS3 owners out there. And anyone who says that their problem lies with one controller being better than the other is just silly. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. Four face buttons. A D-pad. Two analog sticks. Four shoulder buttons. Start and Select (Back). If you're problem is the oblong controllers then you spend too much time thinking about your hands on the controller. They are made to be natural. And to the PS's credit it got that right on the PS1. Now the graphics situation. The technology has gotten crazy this gen. Xbox's Xenon processor is a powerhouse and the system works on DVD format. Playstation 3 uses the Toshiba CPU which is not as powerful as the Xenon processor, and the system works on Blu-ray disc format. The problem on PS3 with its graphics are third party games. When a developer like Infinity Ward makes a new game for Xbox and PS3 it is designed on a DVD; it is later converted to Blu-ray for the PS3. The problem here is that DVD quality is being run on a Blu-ray. If the format were to stay as DVD then the Blu-Ray player would up convert the quality making the game "look better". However, it stays on Blu-ray and it suffers. This isn't to say that Blu-ray is a bad format choice especially when you look at first party PS3 games. Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, pretty much any developer that works exclusively with the PS3 says that the system, format, and hardware are amazing to work with and a rewarding experience. The PS3 has a weaker CPU than Xbox; however, there are 8 SPEs in the PS3. These allow for certain elements in the picture and graphics to be tasked away from the CPU. This, according to developers, makes it much easier to create high texture environments and open worlds. Honestly though, I believe all systems are fun and worth your time. I just don't like it when Xbox fans or PS3 fans dislike one for no reason at all. BTW: I am really interested in learning about all the hardware on these systems, so please tell me if i screwed something up in this blog. (Not that bloggers need an excuse to call someone stupid.)
