I'm also looking into this issue as well. Most modern higher end HDTVs that apply processing will create some input lag. How senstive you are to the input lag is really a subjective question. Input lag seems to bother some more then others. Some people posted on AVS forum complaning that the XBR4 - that games are unplayable on that TV. My friend owns a Sony XBR4/PS3 and he has no complaints in fact he completed all the trophies on Arkham Asylum. Its unfortunate that no sites are out there categorize input lag as metric.
Anyhow from what I have heard, Sony and Samsung sets have the worst input lag - when you have all the fancy processing turned on. Some people are even annoyed when those sets are running in game mode.
I've heard many times that Sharp TVs are the best ones that reduce input lag (when game mode is on). Most LCD monitors are focused on performance and offer the lowest input lag.
Yeh I think your wrong. I found more kids on WaW then Modern Warfare and there annoying. Cheating?! There are so many glitches and exploits in WaW that its not funny. Almost every game of zombies has some dude carrying out and encouraging glitches. Still don't believe me go to Youtube and do search for "World at war glitch". The weapons in WaW are not as balanced as in MW. And I find there a lot more weapon options in MW. Both are great games in there own right.
Hmmm..Did'nt realize that people colluded like that. Prior to the party chat people barely spoke. Now I think its even worse. The system has its pros and cons.
Halo 3 is filled with immature kids who are intimidated by women in real world. But because they have an audience of dolts and anonmity they state sexist/racist/homophobic tripe because there are no serious consequences. In the real world they would probably get there ass kicked.
Mute the microphone or hook up with people who are more mature gamers.
Also in response the guy suggesting a mandatory driver's license. This would be a big privacy issue. Do you really want someone store your personal information on there servers? A lot countries have strict privacy laws which would be violated and would get microsoft in hot water. I would not want my address or personal information posted on the internet for all to see. The deterance of annoying kids would be relegated to major identity theft.
Either get yourself a Wii or XBOX360 Arcade if your on a budget. I have all three consoles and would recommend the XBOX360 for its great selection of games.
From my experience nearly everytime a kid gets online he is either bantering about nonsense or starts swearing which results me in either muting him or leaving the game. Kids are kids and there gonna talk trash and enjoy the veil of anonmity behind a microphone.
If your mature for your age good for you. I just enjoy playing with mature adults.
