You didn't aim, you didn't anything. Halo 2 and 3 are produced for the masses, plain and simple. And guess what, the masses love it. And that's fine. But people who like skilled gaming will bash it, and do bash it.

This part of your post is just so un-informed. Ugh. Have you even heard of MLGPro.com. :|

I didn't go to that link, but I'm assuming it means Major League Gaming Professionals or something ridiculous like that. Just because a bunch of terds get together and make a league doesn't prove anything other than thier terdyness for possessing such an organization. And by your avatar I'm assuming you're a big Halo fan who feels it his duty to undermind anything that opposes "the best game of all time." Since I apparently seemed to be uninformed, I'll make my own short list of the things that make Halo unplayable and a shadow of its former self.

These are all in relation to Halo 1:

-Too many little holes and cheap spots to be shot in the back

-Almost completely removing any need for reflexes with their level designs

-3 round burst is like having training wheels and is almost insulting

-autoaim?! common.

-Lock on rocket launcher?! common.

- destructible vehicles?! completely removing the control of vehicles element of strategy from CTF

- NEVER should anyone be killed with the needler... it went from a joke to a BIGGER more powerful joke. Dumb guns need to die.

- Level designs are dumb and I find myself saying "uh i hate this level" everytime a map loads... every map!

- The only good levels are the ones that were "relite" from Halo 1

- Shooty sniper is just lame

- Too many guns that do stupid stuff and turn the maps into a flashbang, further removing the skill element and adding the luck, button mashing, and power weapon hording elements.

- CLEARLY assisted melee! just dumb.

- These games are geared toward kids. Plain and simple. It's obvious around every corner. And guess what Halo's biggest complaint is... "I hate all the kids on the mics." huh... who'd'a thought.

And please don't call turning around and hosing behind you with 3 round burst skill... a single shot to the head when someone teleports infront of you in Chirone is skill, because yes, only tools use shields. Chill Out halls are skill. Rat Race ramps are skill. The back yards of Battle Creek are skill. Being good enough with the rocket launcher and hitting a vehicle across the map WITHOUT a lock on system is skill. Actually aiming your gun without an autoaim is skill. Do me a kindness. Go and pick up Halo 1 and try and play it. You will suck. It happened to me when i played Halo 3. I got spoiled, and it showed me the light. I used to be a Halo 3 fan... I'm now recovering.

I bash Halo 2 and 3. Halo 1 was great and i played it all the time. I got excited for Halo 2... and just ended up pissed. The only thing the Halo series has done right is the Xbox Live matchmaking system. That needs to be in every game. However, the game itself went from a skilled shooter, to a hold down the trigger fest. Unless you run a battlerifles only match, the games are dumb and repetitive. And even with battlerifles it's a joke. You meet someone, hold down the trigger (or get unskillfully killed instantly by a sword) until someone dies. Generally, the winner and loser of these "gun fights" have no idea who won or lost until the smoke clears. If you're a gamer that likes to just mess around and loves to spray and pray, than go for it. However, I like to aim and shoot, so I'll bash Halo 2 and 3. And you may say "OH! well what about the battlerifle with the scope, and the accuracy, and the aiming, and the headshooting?!!"... no... no... 3 round burst is not accuracy. Autoaim is not accuracy. Not accuracy means not skill. Everyone has to admit there has been more than one time when they whirled around to someone shooting them in the back, shot their rifle, and the person just died. You didn't aim, you didn't anything. Halo 2 and 3 are produced for the masses, plain and simple. And guess what, the masses love it. And that's fine. But people who like skilled gaming will bash it, and do bash it.

So in other words you want a boring pointless game...? heck there are tons out there. like the many ones mentioned in before posts. just dont get action games go for some arcade stuff maybe.- chow fallenlasciel

Well I'm pretty sure that this type of thinking is what has frustrated the author, and myself. I agree that gaming has gone from a fun hobby to an overly competitive arena, fulled by gaming company ideas such as Online Stats and Leaderboards and other ridiculousness that steals fun from something that is... in the end... a toy. Just because you're not comparing your online penis to someone else's, doesn't mean the game is "boring and pointless."

As far as being on topic about this post, I would recommend oblivion, also. Or really, just play a lot of single player stuff and stay away from online gaming for a bit... some people just don't deserve the internet, but they have it. A real drag on us all.

The B out.
