1> This is a really long blog… I’ll be numbering the paragraphs so you’ll know what I’ll be referring to… :P I hope you guys will read it… You can reply to me after a few days when you’re already done reading it… :) Sorry for the very long blog… I’m not forcing you to read it, this is just to let you guys know what a Recollection and Outreach is and what we do in it… Please leave a comment even if it’s just a “Hi!” :D

2> Recollection is something like remembering our faith in God, knowing our strengths and weaknesses, and it is to enlighten us… Outreach is where we like reach out to less fortunate ones…
3> We have our recollection in grades 3-6, 1st year & 2nd year & 4th year HS, we have retreats… Reco’s and retreats are the same except that when we have our retreats we go to a different place and overnight there to have our reco… :D We have our outreach in grades 3-7 and 1st year -4th year HS… :) (We have both of this once a year)
4> [Outreach] When I was in grades 3, 4, and 5; we had a partner from a public school… When I was in grade 6, we went to a rehabilitation center but our partners were kids too, no, they are not addicts some of them were just caught scattered in places where they have a curfew… When I was in grade 7, we went to Children’s Haven… Last school year (1st year HS), we had a foster family and this school year as well… :)
5> In our Recollection’s and Retreat’s, we have a lot of fun activities and some sad activities where the facilitators (We have 3 facilitators awhile ago ‘cause the other one wasn’t there) make you realize what if your family’s gone and some other stuff but aside from all of those activities we tend to focus on God… About the family’s gone thing, they’ll make you wear a blindfold and then a facilitator will guide you to a journey wherein they’re gonna make you think like your family’s been in an accident or something else and then when you get home you’ll see your family and you’ll notice that they’re fading away… They do that every year… Awhile ago, it was something like; you and your family are cruising in a ship and then suddenly the ship starts to sink in the middle of the sea. You and your family held hands and try to get a life vest but there’s no more left then there were rescue boats but there’s only 1 space left. Your family decides that you’ll be the one to occupy the seat… The person gives you a few minutes to talk to your family. You face your father, hug him, and talk to him (you can say sorry, thank you, I love you and such); same with your mother, and then you look at your siblings for the last time… Then, the person from the rescue boat calls you now, so you ride the boat and as you leave of course you’ll be looking back and as you look back you see your family waving at you and at the same time sinking… Sink, sink, sink, and they’re gone… Awhile ago, when they were just starting the journey, tears already ran down my eyes ‘cause I knew that they’re gonna kill our families again… They do that every year to make us realize things…
6> Oh yeah, and awhile ago before that journey thing they made us drew a boat and in that boat is your midget family (not extended and no pets), and then you should also draw water, fishes, corals, and a shark. You’ll be the captain of the boat and so the boat is starting to sink, they told us to encircle the person that we would drop out of the boat for us to be able to survive and to write the reason at the back of the paper… (You can’t choose yourself and you should choose 1 person among your family members… Also, even if he/she can swim, he/she will be eaten by the shark) I really can’t decide who to drop ‘cause I don’t want any of my family members to die; we were given 5 minutes to decide, finally I’ve made my decision but I won’t say who I dropped (after the activity, they asked us to tear and throw the paper and told us that no one should bring the pink paper home)… I almost cried when some of my forbidden saying who they dropped and why they dropped that person…
7> I think that’s just 2 of the activities… :) I guess I won’t be sharing the fun activities anymore ‘cause this blog is already too long and is probably taking too much of your time already…
8> We just finished our Second Year High School Recollection awhile ago… It was our last Recollection in that school ‘cause in the next 2 years we will again be having our retreats… (3rd year HS – 2 days & 2 night, 4th year HS – 3 days & 2 nights) :P
9> Our outreach is tomorrow… :D I wonder how many kids will our foster parents have… :lol:
