oops

Guess I forgot about this blog space. Hmm, maybe I'll make some use for this by writing a game review? On second thought maybe not. :P

Pulling a 360...

A while back I owned a Xbox. I had a good amount of games for the system, but never really played it much. I decided to sell that system thinking not only would I get something in value in return(a Nintendo DS), but once the new 360 came out I would end up buying that as well. Well, here I am re-thinking my thinking and I just do not know. On the one hand the 360 does have a sweet arsenal of games coming out, while on the other I fear I may not enjoy them. Aside from Resident Evil 5, I cannot think of many games I would even purchase. And now that I hear it is backwards compatible, but now with limitations, my passion for owning the 360 keeps dwindling. Am I doomed to spend this insane amount of money for a system that may be left to gather dust? Will I buy games that are just not good in my eyes only to try something new? I have no answers at this point in time. The only thing I do know is that come this Christmas I may be a few hundred dollars poorer with an attitude of disappointment to boot. Perhaps if I could win one then I could feel better, but a lottery like that is just unheard of...

In a Land of Gaming Disappoints...Sony has given us this...

Aside from using my PSP as a music player, or even emulator, I find small amounts of value right now in terms of actual games. For some reason this system has left many gamers out there with a bare library of really good quality games. Personally, I have only played two PSP games thus far. First being, Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade which is a mediocre game similar to Gauntlet and with much taken from Baldur's Gate. Graphically it is pretty sharp with hints of slowdown, but right down to it, I was none too impressed. As for the latter half of games I have played, there is the lovely Death jr. Now for reasons known to myself I just cannot put this game down. Camera troubles and game play issues aside, this game is as fun and enticing as they come. The music alone has a very techno-spooky quality to it and fits the overall style of the game perfectly. Granted this is no perfect ten, or even close, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who owns a PSP. If only to take away the pain from the vacant additions of titles that have been released. Now there are some really interesting games I wish to purchase, but until I receive my cash from my money tree in the back yard, I can not say anything about them from a personal standpoint. Lumines, to me, looks like a hipper Tetris with some pretty sweet visuals so I am sure that game is a must have. The same would go for Wipeout Pure because any game playing while at eye-blurring speeds gets a nod from me. The faster the better I always say. Then there is one other I know of right now and that is Metal Gear: Acid. Now this game is taken from the awesome franchise many gamers have grown to love, but with one odd change of play. Here we have another game with card-based game play!?!? That is acceptable for poker, or even, Pokemon, but not here in the stealthy action of Solid Snake. Maybe it is just me, but a game's game play keeps getting weirder and weirder as time goes on in the creative land of gaming. What will developers think of next...*sighs*

Numbed Digits...

After what seemed like hours I finally rated every game in my collection. I have no idea why I did it, but I guess it was there to do so now its done. All I can say is that now my fingers are numb. I have lost all sensation in them due to the mass amount of clicking that had transpired last night. Now if only I could start reviewing them all...*sighs*

A Cup of Coffee...

Damn its hot! I am growing very curious about this Gamepot community. I am finding there is much here in terms of substance. Whether it be for games or people, there is much to see and do. Still not sure how the forums work just yet, but I am picking and proding there too. I may have to look into these little emblems that popped up below my name because it says "Old School." I am unsure if this now means that I have to go back to school now. If that is the case then I will be disappointed. Well, not "severed head in my lunchbox disappointed," but more like "I have to blow into my NES cartridge again disappointed."

I cannot tell you what will happen from here on out with this journal here. All I can say is that I enjoy writing about games. Well, that and rambling on about absolutely nothing. So for now that is that.
