I have had sleeping issues for 5 years now and it has been anything but good. I recently have been able to sleep at a normal time and a get a decent amount of sleep. Fast forward a week later and I just can't seem to sleep again. Between Sunday and Monday I got 8 hours of total sleep while being awake for 40 hours. You would think that I would be exhuasted and ready to sleep, but no, instead I am having issues sleeping again. Thankfully I have music to keep me company until I do finally find a place for my head.

Random title I know but I couldn't think of anything else as I am half asleep at the moment. This blod is preatty much an update on my life in the coming weeks and what I am currently doing, so lets begin.
The main thing I want to talk about is Dragon Age 2. I cannot wait for this game to be released on March 8th. I am having troublebelieving it is less than a month away now, but it still feels so far away. The only reason I am so excited for this game is because I played the hell out of the original game and its exspansions that I need more Dragon Age. I have literally put over 50 hours into the game and its expansions and that isn't enough for my cravings :p.
I don't have much to say about the coming weeks as I really have no idea what will be happening. The only thing I know for sure is that my 19th birthday is coming up and I really can't wait to party.
Well, that is all for now. Once my life gets more exciting I will do more blog posts, until then, attack my minions of the night!
Well Hello There
by quatoe on Comments
Hey all, just wanted to say hello. I was on the off topic forums last night and i forgot how much fun I used to have on this website. I just spent the last hour arguing with some dood. I enjoyed it quite handsomly. I am now gonnabe more active based on that encounter alone. I know most people will shrug but I wanna get more involved with the video game community that used to be my life. Anywhoo....just thought i would say hi, and don`t forget....there is shrimp on the barbie.
UFC Undisputed 2010
by quatoe on Comments
I have been playing UFC Undisputed 2010 now since it came out and I can say that it delivers on everything the developers said it would. I love the combat system once again but they added so many more features it is mind blowing. With the introduction of the cage having an effect on takedowns and the clinch it adds a whole new dimension to the fighting. The career mode is still a little bland with mostly menu navigating but the overall experience is much more engaging with the ability to pick who will win a UFC bout and watching the match or having a camera crew come in and show the world what your gym does. My only complain is that the loading times could be a little better and there is a few graphical glitches.
It's Been a While

The title pretty much says it all, it has been a very long time since any sort of update. Well I am here with one now lol, took long enough I know but once a year is better than nothing.
I might as well start off with games cuz thats what this site is for haha. Well, not much can be said about console gaming as I have pretty much made my collection desolate and pretty dry. I sold every console game I had in complete stupidity and now regret it very much but on the bright side my mother purchased one of my friends Nintendo DS Lite and now I am playing Chrono Trigger and Zelda: Spirit Tracks on the system and to say the least I am not disappointed in either game. They are both time consuming, although I rarely have time to play either of them because my mother constantly plays New Super Mario Bros. on it. I am really excited for Fallout:New Vegas and literally having a hard time wait for it, I love Fallout and a new addition wouldn't be a bad thing in my mind.
Enough on gaming for now time to talk about personal life. The majority of my time has been consumed by playing my new guitar setup. For my eighteenth birthday I got an Ibanez SA series guitar and if you add that with my Marshall MG50DFX and Boss DS-1 distortion it is has a pretty tight sound. I have also been writing again and wouldn't mind doing reviews with some of my free time but I am having trouble deciding if I should do album reviews as well as game reviews because music is 90% of my day now. All in all I will most likely start to do both but my main priority is to get a video game review up considering it has been years since I have done one.
But that is all for now, I will be back constantly and I will update every once in a while and if you guys wanna know what I am doing on Xbox LIVE just add Coditherus as a friend and I will be glad to accept and friend request. See ya!
Prototype and UFC 2009 Undisputed.
by quatoe on Comments
Hello again friends, it has been a while I know but I am finally writing some new stuff for a few games I got, first up is Prototype. I just got this game yesterday and I have already put about 7 hours into it and what a great 7 hours it has been. The game is absolutely amazing with a great story, awesome gameplay and a lot of uses of the F bomb. My biggest complaint is that the camera can be really wonky sometimes and get stuck between buildings but other than that I have not seen a bug so far in my travels. If I was to score the game based on what I have played I would give it and 8/10.
Time for the second game, UFC 2009 Undisputed. Alright, this has to be one of the best fighting games I have ever played, I know it does not have 500 mile and hour fights or crazy ass explosions but I love the realism in it. The roster is exceptionally large with over 80 fighters and thats including every weight class. Some favorites are in the game, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva and Anderson Silva. The main career mode is somewhat dull with mostly menus for training but you can spare to allocate point to your fighters skill which helps in the long run. overall I really enjoyed the game, expect a full review when I have finished the whole game but if I was to score it now I would give it 9.5/10.
Alright, now from something random, is there anyone else who is really excited for Project Natal?
Late Merry Christmas, my Game of The Year, Year in Review and 2009 Games.
by quatoe on Comments
I know this is a few days late, but Merry Christmas. I hope everyone enjoyed the day of festivities and are happy with their gifts. I for one am very pleased with what I got as everything I asked for is in my room right now. I had a tough choice this year, it was either a new more Metal oriented guitar or and Xbox 360. I chose the latter with gaming on my mind since I got my Nintendo Wii. So, I got my Xbox 360 Pro (2 games came with as a deal; Kung Fu Panda and lego Indiana Jones) Madden NFL 09 and Prince of Persia. I also recieved The Dark Knight, which I have to say is one of the best films I have ever seen, Declaration by Bleeding Through and 85 dollars. But the best gift of all was to myself, I was able to kick my nicotine addiction and quit smoking. I have to say that this was the by far the best Christmas I have ever had and by the way my gamertag is coditherus, add if you would like.
Alright, now on to serious business, my Game of the Year selection. There were many great games this year such as Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 and LittleBigPlanet to name a few. It was, in my personal opinion, the best year for gaming ever. We saw so many advances in the gaming marketplace such as the game Braid. It was created by one man, developed by one man and played by thousands which proves that one person can change the market. But back onto the point, it was a tough choice for me to pick a Game of the Year choice as I loved to many. But, after days of painstaking thinking I chose my Game of the Year...Metal Gear Solid 4. MGS4 exceeded my expectations and has to be one of the best games I have ever played. The story is believeable, it ties up loose ends, the dialogue is some of the best written, the voice work is phenomenal, the music is beautiful and so on and so forth. There is too many good things to say about this game, but like I said it was a tough choice. Fallout 3 was the only other game that I was going to give Game of the Year too, and yes it is an amazing game but MGS 4 just really makes me feel like I am in the game world, like I am there. So there you have it, my game of the year.
Alright, time for my year in review. Like I said in the paragraph before this, 2008 was a great year for gamers. We were treated with so many amazing titles that could fit everyones needs and wants (well, not really...wheres my new Zelda Nintendo?) and great games for every platform. When I bought my Nintendo Wii back in July I was overwhelmed with how awesome it was, but that feeling soon wore off. I needed good games, and Super Smash Bros wasn't really my thing. Personally, the only good games on the Wii are Mario games, because thats essentially the only thing on it. Now I know Okami is an amazing game, I am still playing through it, but I need a new killer app for the Wii and if I don't get one, I may be considering giving my Wii and waiting for the next Nintendo console. Now Xbox had an amazing year with great games. Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Rock Band 2 and many many more. The one thing I love about the 360 so much is the variety of games and the selection of titles. On the Wii there was Mario, more Mario and a little more Mario. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario but come on Nintendo you can do better than that. The Playstation 3 had plenty of good titles this year. Of course many of them were multi-platform (go figure?) but of the games that weren't multi-platform PS3 owners were delighted. They got MGS4, LittleBigPlanet and Resistence 2. All of which are great games but make a non-Sony fan like me fret I want my MGS4 on my Xbox, come on Konami. There were quite a few great titles for every console such as Call Of Duty:World at War and Madden NFL 09. CoD on the Wii is actually a very good game, of course it does not have the polish of the PS3 and Xbox 360 version it is still an engrossing game with great multi-player. For Madden NFL 09 it is and amazing game. Of course you have to really enjoy fotball to like the game and sometimes understand it, but other than that it is a very well-rounded game.
Well, this is the end of this very long and possibly boring blog post, I am going to finish it off with some games of the new year that are really interesting me. So Farewell!
Resident Evil 5, Lord of the Rings:Conquest, Batman Arkham Asylum and MadWorld.
I'm Back!

Hello everyone, guess who back, back again? Me. This time I am here for good. I am gonna have a review of Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda: Ocarina of Time up soon, cuz one review a year is pretty bleak compared to how I used to be. Also, I am getting a 360 for christmas, so I will be sure tell all of you my Gamertag name when the time comes. You will mostly find me playing some Madden NFL 09, or some Gears of War 2 when my buddy brings it over. I know this is short, but I am revving up for the future, getting things ready. I have big plans for the next year, possibly a video series, more reviews and I may put up some of my original recordings on GS as well. I guess we will all find out in the coming months, well it was good to say all of this to my friends. Until next time, may the gamer be within you.
Gaming In Full Gear
by quatoe on Comments
So, since I have not made a blog post in almost 5 months I have decided to write one about my upcoming month. Next month (June 6th to be exact) I am purchasing an Xbox 360, my first video game investment since February, and I am hoping that I will get everything I am expecting and more from this beautifully magnificant console. I know there is plenty of good games for it such as Grand Theft Auto 4, Gears of War, Mass Effect and Bioshock to only name a few, but I am not exactl sure if I will be able to contend with a console filled with almost only shooters. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of shooters, but when that is all that comes out I get a little skeptical and afraid, sure Mass Effect is a great RPG, but the game has shooting elemnts to it. I know it may seem a little stupid to say just because a game has a small portion of shooting that is all the game is about. It is, in a way. Most games nowadays have only shooting elements to it, me being a fan of Action/Adventure games such as Zelda, or Platformers such as Mario can get a little offside when it comes to shooters. I loved Goldeneye for the N64, I enjoyed the first Halo on the Xbox, and I really enjoyed Gears Of War (from what I have played) but all I am saying is why does every game have to have a shooting element to it? To me shooting in certain parts of a well rounded game is very enjoyable, but shooting everything in your path becomes a little tiresome after a while. So I shall write a little editorial here about shooting games and what they have done to me.
Goldeneye was the first FPS I ever got a grasp of, it intruiged me with the odd control scheme and awakward camera as I never knew what an FPS was until I played this game. It really changed my life and perspective on video games even up until now.
I still believe that shooters should have this quality to them. In my opinion no shooter has come close to beating Goldeneye in the level of quality and care put into the game, it was amazing at the time and is still amazing today.
Grand Theft Auto was the next series I took hold of and never let go. GTA was at the time, to me, immensly different from what I have ever played. It was raw, it was intentionally rough and amazing played out. I first experienced the wonder in 2005 when I bought Grand Theft Auto 3 for my Xbox. I wasn't sure if I was gonna like the game or not as I have never touched any game in the series or every considered buying a game in the series. Let me tell you that when I put the disc in my Xbox I was thrilled to see what was going to happen.
What I came upon after the loading screen was the best game I have ever played at the time. It was different, you could do what you want and get away with it, I felt free when I could take my car and drive it straight into a builduing and walk away unharmed. It was a hell of a experience for a kid that never wanted to play a violent game in his life, it was the turning chapter for me.
In late 2005 I was blessed with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas being released for the Xbox. I was smart and picked it up shortly after it came out. I had one of the greatest times in my gaming history with this title. You were free to pretty much do whatever you felt like f***ing doing, it was an amazing experience. Even though the main story sometimes did have a drag here and there it was amazingly told with some of the best actors around such as Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Penn. San Andreas has to be one of the best shooting oriented game around with an unforgetable story and gnarly gameplay.
I was blessed with the oppurtunity to play GTA 4 days after it came out. My friends told me how amazing it was, I didn't believe it was as amazing as they said until I played it myself. GTA 4 brings everything we love from the franchise and tenfolds it. The extremes and boundaries pushed by this game in phenomenal and superb. I don't think any game has ever pushed a franchise as far as this one has. This game will always be remebered as one of the best games of all times.
Well, that is my little rant on shooters. You saw how they affected me in my gaming sense, and how I feel about boring shooters nowadays. But I bid you all farewell, and until next time.....my minions of the night...ATTACK!!
