I have a toshiba satellite also, mine is 1.47Ghz and has 896 MB of ram. Mine is about the same age as yours. Mine used to be really really slow. I don't know what I did to make it faster unfortunately for you. It is still not the fastest in the world but it works fine for everything.

Very shocking story. Imagine if you were Folding @ Home during the lightning strike.one_on_one

I was actually peeing when it happened...it was just a loud boom and it scared me for a second thought it was like an explosion or something.

[QUOTE="quincygatlin"]Ok, so I guess I will just buy a new one, since my warranty has expired, thanks guys.freham2001
Just a question though, why did you wait so long?

A friend of mine said she would send it off for me. I forgot about it and assumed she sent it. She claimed she forgot all about it so I just got it back from her not long ago.

just send it in to sony, it'll take 2 months at maximum, that's a promise from sony. You've already not had it for 7 months now right? 150 instead of 400 $$ ??? which would u take?

I do not have a warranty..can I still do this? I got it last year on Christmas so it would have expire this previous Christmas. Correct?

Well, about 7 months or so ago, my ps3 was hit by lightning. I didn't have it plugged into the wall because I knew a thunderstorm was coming. Although my tv was hooked to an external antenna on the roof. Lightning hit the antenna and ran back through the tv cables into all of my tvs and when it went through the tv it came through to my ps3 through the av jacks through the audio and video plug. It will not turn on, and nothing happens, no lights, nothing. Is there some kind of lightning protecter inside you think I could replace?

I don't know if there is any hope of repairing my ps3 or I should just buy another one. I really miss it, and was about to get another one soon so I was just wondering if I could make some use of this one....well thanks.
