I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but I'm fairly sure the trophy data is only lost on the individual console, not on PSN servers. A friend of mine still has his PS3 up and running and confirmed that my Fifa 10 trophies (which I believed were lost) were still on my online profile. So I believe once this problem is fixed and trophy data is synced, everyone should get their trophies back.

I hope.

My parents recently bought a PS3 for the kids but were having problems connecting the HDMI. When HDMI is selected from the Display Settings, the screen goes blank and no signal is received by the TV. After 30 seconds it reverts back to the AV cables as normal. There is no issue with the HDMI cable - it is ****** and I have previously used the cable on my own PS3 without problem. I have read about this issue before, but the usual solutions - hard reset and such - have had no effect.

Any help would be much apreciated.

Favourite: Zidane.. then probably Squall and Aeris.

Least favourite: definitely has to be Ashe. I hate her so, so much. But that was probably influenced by how much I disliked the latest FF.

[QUOTE="SegArgyle"]this is one of the most ridiculous threads ever, future expansion please, they'll be a ps4 by then, fan noise, 360 isn't THAT loud, I never notice it, the failure rate isnt that high I know a few people and none of us has had a problem, pathetic reasoningglcm1961

Couldn't have said it better. YOUR reasoning IS pathetic. "I kno some peeps n they dun got problems wit dere xbox". Wow. Grats.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

I was actually defended you. Ah well.

Smuggiebear

I'm excited about FF13 also, and I don't own a PS3, because of the fact that, for the most part I've loved every FF game.

Nojima is a writer I believe, right? Thats fine. Makes sense. But Lost Odyssey's story is very good also. The writer in this game is a Japanese novelist in case you already don't know.

I really wish I could play FF13 somehow. I know you guys in general don't want it to happen, but I hope it gets ported the 360 (and hey, with the evidence supporting it, it could very well be true).

One thing FF has over LO is character design. Nomura is great. However, the steam punk look of LO is awesome.

Is LO Steam Punk? Interesting. I love that. Arcanum - an underrated PC CRPG - was steam punk and despite what some people called horrible graphics, it had a great art direction.

[QUOTE="quirky_clayboy"]FFXIII WILL be a return to the excellence displayed by the classics. This isn't just the desperate optimism of a fan who was let down by FFXII. This is FACT. A quick glance at the developing team on FFXIII (the who's who from FFVII, VIII, IX and X) will tell you that this will receive a MINIMUM of 9.5.dkhw

'

well they actually lack quite a few key people who moved to mistwalker

major guys are

- sakaguchi: producer/ partial story

- uematsu: music

- and some other general guys.

All that really matters is that Nojima, Nomura and Toriyama are back together. All worked on FVIII (the best imo due to story). Yes I know Sakaguchi worked on that as well, but Nojima is the most important member. Sakaguchi made Blue Dragon. Um... well done?

Umm... Sakaguchi also made Chrono Trigger/ Cross, FF1-9, wait do I even have to go on? seriously?

It's funny how the Cows turn on one of the best devs on the playstation history....

I'm not turning on him. I recognize Chrono Trigger as the best game. Ever. I was merely saying that he is not the ONLY reason the FFs were great. I believe Nojima makes the greatest difference because the games he is involved in are better than the ones he isn't. This isn't fanboyism. Nojima is freelance. And also I would love to play LO, so don't flame me. I'm not saying Xbox isn't great, I'm just saying I'm excited about FFXIII.

MGS cannot be overated, imo. It's as near perfect a gaming experience possible, and I have never been let down by Kojima. If MGS4 and FFXIII were the only games on the PS3 I would be sold. Every other game is a bonus.
