Dolphins win!

Yay, all I can say is that I am completely overjoyed.

I am proud to say I was one fan who attended the game.

Can't wait to see the Dolphins beat New England next week, ( I can dream can't I? :P)

Deathly Hallows = meh

This review is long overdue, I guess I'm a really slow reader. Basically I thought the final Harry Potter wasn't the best Harry Potter book. I actually liked HBP so I had some good hopes for this one. As usual the best thing about the story is the characters, Harry is as angsty as usual and Ron and Hermione also recieve great development, but even that couldn't save the book from itlackluster plot. SPOILERS...

Most of the biggest plot points seemed to be picked from popular fan theories: Snape killed Dumbledore upon his orders, Snape had a relationship with Lily, RAB is Sirius' brother, Harry was the final Horcruxes, ect.

JK Rowlings gets too liberal with character deaths, killing everyone who is not necessary for the plot isn't always good drama.

The inclusion of the Hallows felt like it came from left field, especially at the end. This cements that any mythical objects mentioned infiction will be 100 percent relavent.

Harry dies, but comes back through a ridiculously contrived twist, if you lead the audience to believe the main character will die you should follow through with it.

Dumbledore wraps up the plot in a neat little bow by explaining evry single event that happened. By now JK should learn how to explain the plot without Dumbledore's all knowingness.

Harry defeats his foe in a way that is both anticlimatic and almost nonsensical.

Finally, the prolouge felt like a really bad fanfiction. I definetley think this is the worst chapter of all, the only relavent information was confirming all the pairings and the single line in the ENTIRE book where Harry shows reverence to Snape.

Also Nevile turns into an uber-badass, I don't even know what to think of that.

Konami Hates me!

Nowadays I usually buy force of the breaker card packs in order to augument my crystal beast deck (I used to go for Cyberdark impact but quit when after my umpteenth purchase I had only a single cyberdark edge to show for, also filling my binder with useless Allure queens and cyber ogres was getting old.) Today on a whim I bought a shadow of infinity set and I got some of the crappiest cards yet: D.3.S frog which is almost completely unusable, not to mention his food is banned, beleeze frog whic is pure crap, saber beetle which has mediocre since all the monarchs about and I already have one, Malfuntion which is a cheap delay version of 7 tools, junior championship something or other which is highly situational and some meaningless Ancient gear support.

It makes me sad when I remember feeling empowered with every new set of cards back when I was a newb, now adays I don't even get the recourses for a proper fun deck.

Finals have begun...

For me atleast. So far I've completed the History and English exams.

For the history exam, to study I simply copied a study guide of a friend, looked trough it then found the defenitions of important terms. The test its self is simple because I didn't have to learn specific dates and alot of the test was analyzing maps and graphs and memorizing historical terms.

The English exam is increadibly easy, all that's ever required for english is reading the material. To prepare for the exam I reviewed the study questions and then watched english telelevision for the rest of the study time.

Still I have another week of finals ahead of me. And they seem to be more challenging then these exams, so you can wish me luck.:)

KH manga !!!!!!111

I went to a local book convention and to my suprise found a copy of Kingdom Hearts manga on the shelves. The KH fan in me urged me to buy it so now I officially own the KH:CoM Vol.2 graphic novel.

As a longtime lover of the series I felt a bit dissapointed when going through the manga. Because I already knew the story there were no suprises and little extra content aside from humurous scenes with donald and goofy. I was suprised at how much material was left out, Disney worlds were entirly removed, many fights were shortended or completely cut out and alot of dialouge was abreviated. The org members got some extra screen time but it all goes to fast for you to savor. With already known story and relativly nonexistent fights, I thought the comics only grace was some of the humor whic was a times ridiculously random, or really cute. The art is crisp, but it doesn't blow you away. Also I wish the art could spare more panels depicting scenery and backround as the engrossing worlds you explore in the games are part of what make KH so endearing.

Moral of the story, when you see this at a bookstore, do yourself a favor and go to the nearest gamestop and buy the damn game.
