Let me pick this apart for you.

"Link starts off without a hat" - Not a valid reason. OoT shows the origin of his tunic with a hat"

Therefore this statement is contradictory. You cannot introduce a get-up twice.

"Aonuma actually said they thought of that game as the oldest in the timeline. This was stated in 2004, which is a few years after Mijamoto stated that OoT was the earliest game in the timeline, but it was before MC was released, so so far no problem there."

Aonuma's involvement with FS was petty. This quote doesn't hold a lot of weight.

"It seems more likely that FSA takes place after OoT."

You'd be suprised how many miss this, well done.

"The reason the oracles could be possible, is that Twinrova is in it – and they die in OoT."

Only in the Adult Timeline, they are alive and well in the Child Timeline.

"Alternative Timeline (AT), while WW takes places in the Original timeline (OT)."

Other way around, WW created a new timeline, TP stuck to the old one with the classics.

"However, in TP Link isn't a child, leaving it more likely to be the Hero of Time that is in FSA"

OoT and TP Link are both seperate from FSA. Also it is far more likely FSA is after TP, where ganondorf dies wearing vengence. Only to be reincarnated in FSA and take the trident of power.

"Anyways, after FSA, there is another split. Split between events that takes place in Hyrule and outside it."

Link being in different countries does not cause a split, this is completely invalid.

"Ocarina of Time is the first story, then the original Legend of Zelda, then Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and finally A Link to the Past. It's not very clear where Link's Awakening fits in--it could be anytime after Ocarina of Time."

This quote is no longer valid. It was a mistranslation.

"LZ takes place sometime after FSA, when the seal they put on Ganon has broken and he tries to take over Hyrule."

It makes miles more sense for AlttP comes after FSA.Ganon breaking the seal and beginning the imprisoning war.

"The part about the mark might be important. It seem the LoZ/AoL Link must be the first hero to get this mark"

What about OoT link and TP link who both have the mark before it?

"Qoute end. Now, one theory I like to use, is that the Imprissoning era started with Ocarina of Time, then lasted until after the oracles games. At some point the war ended and Ganondorf was finally getting executed."

This doesn't make any sense. Ganon was being revived in the oracles, why would this be part of the war? And the execution taking place post-oracles makes very little sense. Ganondorf's execution and the imprisoning war are two very different events.

"Here is that theory. The Ganon/Ganondorf we know from OoT did die in LoZ"

No, OoT Ganon died in TP.

"Take a look at the map in TP, and notice that it has a lot of similarities with Ocarina of Time's map. If you start in the middle of the forest where you find the Master Sword then go clockwise"

"near Zora river you will find the dessert of the Gerudos"

Double geography fail. Also it is far more likely the imprisoning war took place after Twilight Princess.

"The twili are in my theory the Gerudoes"

The Twili are remnant of the dark tribe or interlopers, not Gerudos. Also the Gerudos likely live north of Arbieter's Grounds in their approx OoT location.

"When Midna transforms at the end, she kinda looks like one."

... Not really

"This is true, but can't they still be the Gerudos though?"

Not really, it doesn't fit their culture.

"I mean, Ganondorf and Twinrova are clearly exercising a lot of dark magic"

Which other Gerudos despise.

"The events of TP takes place a hundred years after the Imprissoning war in my theory. Zant, the next male Gerudo, is born and thus tries to conquer the normal world. However, stuck in the Twilight realm, he needs the help of his predecessor, the Ganondorf who was sealed away."

No Ganondorf is sealed in TP. Zant has no desire to conquer the world until after he meets Ganondorf.

"When Ganondorf is defeated at the end of the game, it seems Zant has finally managed to break out, and it is he that in the end kills Ganondorf with telekinesis or something."

No, Zant didn't break out he died. Ganondorf was ment to revive Zant after the fight with Link but he didnt. When Ganondorf in on the brink of death in order for Zant to come back, Zant must first revive Ganondorf so then afterwards Ganondorf can revive him. But instead Zant chooses to let Ganondorf die. The neck gesture is purely symbolic.

"In the normal world, Zant still needs the help of a wizard to convert from his twilight form, and thus become the next Ganondorf, so there might be a gap from the events of TP to the events of ALttP. I believe the Ganon in ALttP is Zant, and that the wizard is one of his helpers."

This theory has no credibility. AlttP Ganon is far more likely to be FSA Ganon.

"I think it is pretty obvious that ALttP must be the last game, since it says in the end that the Master Sword was put to rest forever."

The Mastersword isn't used in LoZ or AoL. Plus those two games are confirmed to take place after AlttP

In all your timeline doesn't hold much water, theres to much fanom with earthquake - imprisoning war ideas or these ideas you have about Zant.

This:

Its interesting but useless for Australia. Most people only have..roughly 5-10GBs of download each month.

Blake135

It's nothing to do with online fees or not physically owning the game, it's got to do with the fact that this service can't work in about 2/3 of the world, so many places cannot meet a demand of using that many megabytes a second. This is where onlive fails, it can only be used in a small handful of countries at the moment, until other nations, including Australia where I live, pick up their game and get a proper internet service running.

In the interview the president of the company and director of the Onlive project had never heard of an internet cap lower than 200GB. He simply hasn't done his global research, there are not many places outside the US that can properly support this system. From the minimal research I've done I've found Japan and certain countries in the Scandanvian region can. But you can't make a globalized system off just them + the states.

Honestly there is such a lack of research done outside the US, they needed to do a lot more of this before trying to accomplish such a task.

[QUOTE="radicalplace"]

What do you mean Web TV was a failure. Last year 2008 it took off massivly, especially when Joss Whedon did Doctor Horrible. Not to mention other popular web shows such as The Guild and Legend of Neil which have been highly sucessful and they are rolling a high amount of cash. They had the streamys award ceremony this year and is currently one of the fastest rising mediums for entertainment. Saying Web TV failed is the udner statement of the year.

Two things with online:

1. It is currently impossible for majority of the world. Only America, selected Scadanvian Countries and Japan can possibly support Onlive. Een within America it is proving incredibly difficult. The video encryption code works fine, but we don't have that fast of internet yet. So rule out America and the scandanvian countries. All we have left is Japan who have fibre optic cables. With the current state of the world this technology will fai.

Also with the president of the company said to stream it will use up 5 MB per second. Which is huge for most countries outside America. For example: Canada averages at 60GB and Australia 20GB. When asked, he said he had never heard of an internet plan lower than 200GB. Epic fail if you want this to suceed globally.

2. Fanboys love their consoles and fanboys love their PCs. This fits neither really.

In all though this is truely a great idea. It's just the world isn't ready for this yet. And fanboys will always be fanboys.

subrosian
That's not "WebTV" :| Those are "internet TV shows" - that's NOT what we're talking about. - Television shows on the internet like AVGN, Zero Punctuation, The Guild, etc aren't "webTV" - WebTV was a specific product - this box you plugged into your TV set that you used to surf the net from your couch. It used dial-up and SDTVs - it was designed for the elderly to access the internet, and was an utter failure. Think of it like being AOL + a set-top box + every restriction you can imagine, with a level of suck so hard that it was bought by Microsoft *and still failed*. - The reason OnLIVE is being created is because it's an investor scam. These guys are hoping they can convince some big company to buy them out - the way they did with WebTV (Microsoft bought it, rebranded it MSN TV - likely it's before your time ). That's it. It's not going to work, and anyone foolish enough to buy it is going to spend money on a buggy product that will *definitely* go away as soon as it's bought out / goes bankrupt.

Everywhere I've read and heard those shows have been referred to as Web television or web TV. So clearly that was just a misunderstanding. If a company buys Onlive, they'll be buying the technology from the ex-owners of the company in 5 years time. They can't possibly make enough profit to stay alive until then. Its a good idea, its just not ready for the world yet. Its basically iTunes for games.

Maxmillien Robespierre is a french revolutionary from the 1700s, he is often considered as the face of the french revolution 1789-1795. This quote is 300 years old, this entire thread has no relevance.

Because they can't make a game in a week and a half. Considering how big his death is its probably on the table now. Just wait a few months for the announcement. However don't expect it, MJ is pop not rock.

I'm gonna say that the 4th generation has been a step backwards. The seond and third generations pushed pokemon into new and interesting concepts and gameplay but the 4th generation took a massive step back. After creating such an amazing world in R/S/E hoenn they really failed in D/P/P.

They wanted the 4th generation to be like the originals more, even though they other generations barely strayed from it. Sinnoh was a very poorly made region and lacked life, pokemon has the amazing potential in its game worlds as proved by Hoenn. The second generation had two regions and made alot of good tweaks and revisions. D/P/P created a game that took majority of these great updates to the formula out and basically made R/B/Y in colour. D/P/P is empty because of a complete reverse in progression.

I hope HG/SS and the 5th generation will do better though. HG/SS already have alot of potential.

Can i just first congraduate the people in this thread? Theres no ZOMG WII SUCKS ITS JUST WAGGLE or anything like that and that everyone is looking at it seriously.

The 360 and PS3 launched with some pretty bg third party companies behind them, alot of these companies dropped out of Nintendo when they saw the Wii. The Wii launched a sucessful new technology but has been struggling for software, its only recently where the Wii has been recieving a steady flow of quality software with a good line up for the next two years.

Mean while the 360 and PS3 had the line up of next gen games but they were in awe struck out of nintendo's sucess to move innovation in game controller. The 360 and PS3 fans defended this position as the companies being "loyal" to hardcore gamers, which of course was incredibly wrong. Even those two companies could see that the innovative controller was a push in gaming and they needed to jump on the band wagon.

Even as this was happening fanboys still defended the position of "loyal" companies and the "real" controller (Current 360 and PS3 controllers) but slowly, some of them gave games such as Wii Sports a try and found it fun. And thats what came down to it in the end, what was fun. This anti-innovation movement pushed by 360 and PS3 fans started to decline and companies began to understand the Wii.

Now we come to 2009 where the other two companies show off their new innovation, most fans of all three systems are ready for it and its clear now that the gaming industry is fully ready to move into player to game innovation. These next few years will be interesting as they lead up to the next generation of consoles, we are really going to see a revolution in gaming.

Twilight Princess by far,

People who think Majora's Mask is wierd have no imaginiation and obviously can not handle a Zelda being more mature in the future.
