Oh and as a side point i am trying an update of directx, seeing if that makes a difference (Doubt it)
Gonna go straight into explaining..
Last night when i was playing GMOD i got a graphical error (Warped 3d, changed colours you know all that and shortly afterwards screen blanked then it crashed) And ever since every game that uses dx9 or dx10 has crashed. I immediately thought it was a graphics card failure but i tried warcraft 3 (Directx 8.1) and it didn't crash. Could it be a software problem? Or is it more likely a hardware problem.
Using a Nvidia geforce 8800 gtx.
(On a side note, troubleshooting advised i update my bios but i don't actually know how to find out the make of my motherboard. Would be appreciated if somone could help)
Thanks to anyone who replies with a useful reply.
Hmm...Warcraft 3 simply because of the amount of time i spent playing it. Really started my gaming lifestyle :p
On a sidenote, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Mass Effect. Say what you will but that game had a brilliant soundtrack.
[QUOTE="Eik2"]Wow its not about leveling, wow is about tactics experience and chalanges. It is very chalangig game in the way you want it to be chalanging.Planeforger
Until you hit level 80 (which takes many, many hours of casual play), the game is pretty much *totally* about levelling. Yes, you can do lower-level raids, but there's no point, as your gear will always be outdated in a few levels anyway.
I can say that no onther MMO have better pvp system than WoW. It depends not only for gear that you have, it depends on your knowledge about your character and your oponent, on your ability to control your character, on timing or your tactics. Its not about who can press buttons faster and win the fight, its about few right buttons on a right time. And its so teamwork game...Eik2
Gear is a huge factor, though. I remember one time when my well balanced group of level 70 characters was slaughtered by a single level 70 warlock, simply because that player had spent more hours than us grinding away to get better gear.
I mean, that^^ alone is enough to say that WoW doesn't have the best PvP system. Guild Wars has better PvP, since the characters are way more balanced - their warrior is going to be roughly as powerful as mine (for example), so battles are determined entirely by tactics and teamwork, not grinding.
You fergot to mention that at that time warlocks were insanely overpowered XD. I remember the times before the nerf, i used to walk around and i could kill 2 rogues that were trying to stunkill me. Those were good days.
Back to main arguement, wow took a lot longer than most of the mmorpgs being rushed out nowadays. I remember in the leaflet that came with warcraft 3 they were talking about wow. Now that it has been polished so much, has a strong fanbase with several guilds set up, loads of content etc. It would take a game a very long time or huge work force to make a "Wow killer." Sadly this won't happen for a long time because of limited budgets and the high price of starting a new mmo. They could do it though.
To finish this poorly spelled arguement (Fatigue ftw) I agree with that guy who suggested op is a socialist. Only a socialist would come up with something like that.
He does have a good point though, if we mixed empire and warhammer i think the game would be great, and highlight the idea of nids' having billions even more. It would be hard to combine though.
[QUOTE="Solidus171"][QUOTE="MotherRussia"]Primarch makes the game more enjoyable. My first playthrough was as Captain difficulty, which is the third harest out of 4. The game on this difficulty is TOUGH, but I always believed that it's in the extreme circumstances such as that where you are at your most creative. I discovered the stun and det pack routine by myself and used it all the time...and Cyrus was my favourite squad due to his one-shot ability which wreaks havoc with Nid squads. I'm tackling it again as Captain just to memorise the maps and tactics, and also to get some tricky achievements I didn't get first time (holding all your provinces and keeping all resources is incredibly hard!)

Yeah, we all know it's about the amount of units, right guise?HAhaha. DoW 2: 5-6 man squad (except tyranids). Empire: Total War- 80 man average squad size, ships that can hold 800 men.
Dawn of WHAT?
